Several villages of Haryana faced such natural conditions during the past few years that the hard work, hopes, and livelihoods of farmers fell into deep crisis. Water accumulated several feet deep in the fields, standing crops were destroyed, and the biggest question before the farmers became how farming would continue in the coming time. In Bhaini Chandrapal of Rohtak, Kohli and Ramayan villages of Hisar, and Badesra village of Bhiwani, the situation had become so serious that an economic crisis began looming over thousands of farming families.

During such difficult times, the Annpurna Muhim, being operated under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, emerged as a source of relief and hope for farmers. Motors, pipelines, and necessary equipment were made available for removing water from the fields, due to which thousands of acres of land could once again become suitable for cultivation and farmers received the opportunity to sow wheat on time.
When Waterlogging Brought Farmers’ Lives to a Standstill
In these villages located in different districts of Haryana, the problem of waterlogging was not limited to just a few fields. In some places, water had accumulated up to 3 to 4 feet deep, while in others it had reached 5 to 6 feet. Rotten water had been standing in the fields for months, due to which crops had been completely destroyed.
The major problems faced by farmers were:
- Complete destruction of Kharif crops.
- The danger of missing the wheat sowing season.
- Shortage of fodder for animals.
- Difficulty in reaching fields and roads.
- Economic crisis before families.
- Children’s education being affected.
- Increased risk of the spread of diseases.
Many farmers stated that if a solution had not been found in time, they might have been forced to leave farming and work as laborers.
Bhaini Chandrapal (Rohtak): 700 to 800 Acres of Land Under Water
Bhaini Chandrapal village of Meham Tehsil in Rohtak district was struggling with a serious waterlogging problem. Approximately 700 to 800 acres of fertile land were submerged under 4 to 5 feet deep rotten water. The Kharif crop had been completely destroyed, and farmers feared that they would not even be able to sow wheat.
According to the villagers, they had sought assistance many times from ministers, legislators, and administrative officials, but they did not receive the expected solution. The risk of disease spreading in the village was increasing, children’s education was being affected, and the crisis of fodder for animals had become severe.
Assistance Provided
On the instructions of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the following material was made available in the village:
- Approximately 6,500 feet long 8-inch pipeline
- Two 20 HP motors
- One 10 HP motor
- Starters and electrical cables
- Complete pipe fitting material
- Nuts, bolts, and other necessary equipment
With the help of powerful motors, water was drained from the fields and wheat sowing could begin on time.
Kohli (Hisar): When the Administration Said It Would Take 6 Months
In Kohli village of Adampur Tehsil in Hisar district, thousands of acres of land were waterlogged. Water had accumulated up to 3 to 4 feet in the fields. The paddy and cotton crops had been almost completely destroyed.
The villagers sought assistance from the administration, but they were informed that it could take approximately 6 months for the required pipes to become available. This wait was not possible for the farmers because the sowing season was rapidly passing.
Assistance Provided
The material delivered to the village within only a few days included:
- Two 10 HP Crompton motors
- Approximately 8,000 feet long 8-inch pipeline
- Starters and electrical cables
- Complete pipe fitting material
- Fevicol, sleeves, and even the smallest nuts and bolts
The villagers stated that the arrangement was so systematic that they did not need to purchase any additional material from the market.
After continuous water drainage, greenery began returning to the fields, and the farmers started sowing wheat once again.
Badesra (Bhiwani): 4,000 Acres of Land Received a New Life
Badesra village of Bhiwani district was among the most severely affected areas. Approximately 4,000 acres of land were submerged under 4 to 6 feet deep water. The fields looked like ponds, and water had reached several houses.
The paddy crop had been completely destroyed, and farmers had begun to feel that the next crop would also be lost.
Initiative of the Panchayat and Immediate Assistance
Village Sarpanch Bhup Singh Ji and the Panchayat appealed for assistance. After this, relief material was delivered to the village within only a few days.
Assistance Provided
- Five powerful 15 HP motors
- Approximately 12,000 feet long 8-inch pipeline
- Starters and electrical cables
- Equipment necessary for operating the motors
- Complete pipe fitting material
The Village’s Picture Changed
According to villagers, some time earlier the situation in the fields was such that boats could have been used. But after continuous water drainage, tractors began running in those same fields and wheat sowing started.
Sarpanch Bhup Singh Ji said:
“There was 4 to 6 feet of standing water in our fields. Today tractors are running in those same fields and sowing is taking place. We are very grateful to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.”
One farmer said emotionally:
“One crop had already been destroyed. If the water had not been drained, we would not have been able to sow the wheat crop either. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj rekindled hope in our homes.”
An elderly farmer said:
“For the first time in my life, I have seen a saint going door to door not to take, but to give.”
Ramayan (Hisar): Where Farmers Had Started Losing Hope
Ramayan village of Hisar district also struggled with the problem of waterlogging for a long time. Water up to 4 to 5 feet deep had accumulated in the fields. Crops had rotted, and many farmers had even stopped visiting their fields.
Many farmers believed that if the situation continued like this, they would be forced to leave farming and work as laborers.
Annpurna Muhim Became a Support
After assistance was requested by the village Panchayat, the following material was made available:
- Three large 15 HP motors
- Approximately 11,000 feet long 8-inch pipeline
- Equipment required for water drainage
Campaign Continued for One and a Half Months
The water drainage work in Ramayan village continued continuously for approximately one and a half months. The motors operated day and night, and gradually water began to drain from the fields.
Where earlier only stagnant dirty water could be seen, later the land itself became visible. After this, farmers prepared their fields again and started sowing wheat.
For the people of the village, this was not merely the restart of farming, but an experience similar to bringing life back onto the right track.

Not Just Relief, but an Effort to Save the Future of Farmers
The assistance delivered in all these villages was not limited only to water drainage. Its purpose was to protect the farmers’ next crop, livestock, and economic future.
If the water had not been removed in time:
- Wheat sowing would not have been possible.
- Farmers would have been forced to work as laborers.
- The fodder crisis for animals would have worsened.
- Families would have sunk into economic hardship.
- Thousands of acres of land would have remained unusable for a long period.
But timely assistance gave farmers an opportunity to cultivate again and prevented their hopes from being shattered.
