Existing Condition of the Village
In village Garhwali, Tehsil Julana, District Jind, Haryana, a severe waterlogging problem had persisted ever since the devastating floods of 1995.
- Approximately 300 to 400 acres of fertile agricultural land remained submerged year after year due to the lack of a permanent drainage system.
- Stagnant floodwaters repeatedly destroyed major crops including wheat and paddy (rice).
- Despite owning agricultural land, farmers were forced to purchase food grains for their daily subsistence and work as daily wage laborers outside the village to earn a living.
Heartfelt Plea by Villagers
Desperate for a permanent solution, the Gram Panchayat of Garhwali approached Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with a humble prayer. Their requirements included:
- Drainage pipelines to channel stagnant water to the main drain.
- A high-capacity electric motor to pump out floodwater efficiently.
Help Given by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
By the grace of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, relief was delivered in a structured, phased approach under Kisan Majdur Bachao Abhiyan Annapurna Muhim Phase 2:
- Phase 1 Support: 5,000 feet of 8-inch high-quality drainage pipe was initially provided.
- Survey and Directions: Under the divine guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, a survey team visited the village and used drones and Google Maps to precisely measure the distance from the fields to the drainage canal. Directions were given that the motor would be handed over once all pipes were completely undergrounded and re-surveyed.
- Phase 2 Support: Upon verification that the initial pipeline was successfully buried around 3.5 to 4 feet deep across three points, an additional 5,300 feet of 8-inch pipe was supplied, bringing the total pipeline to 10,300 feet.
- Motor and Accessories Provided: After a physical re-survey confirmed proper installation, one 7.5 HP heavy-duty Crompton motor along with L&T starter, suction pipe, iron bends, reducer, air valve and stainless steel nuts and bolts were delivered.
- All equipment and materials were provided entirely free of cost as a permanent solution for the village. Complete installation instructions were provided to ensure smooth drainage operations.

The delivery of relief materials was received with immense joy, gratitude and devotion.
- The Sarpanch confirmed: “Total 5,000 feet came first and 5,300 feet came second, so a total 10,300 feet 8-inch pipe has been given by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for the farmers’ waterlogging problem. Three points were made and all have been buried around 3.5 to 4 feet deep.”
- A village representative shared: “We went to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with our plea and Maharaj Ji listened to us immediately. He said our survey would be done the same day and we received the pipeline without delay.”
- Another resident added: “We express our heartfelt thanks to Maharaj Ji from the bottom of our hearts.”
