Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Phase-2 Water Relief Project in Kharhar Jhajjar
SHARE

Kharhar village, located within the Bahadurgarh tehsil of Jhajjar district in Haryana, has historically suffered from extensive waterlogging during the monsoon season. According to local farmers and gram panchayat members, this annual accumulation of rainwater submerges approximately 150 acres of arable land.

The persistent flooding destroys seasonal crops such as paddy, wheat, and pearl millet (bajra). The water frequently stays accumulated in the fields for extended periods, delaying the sowing schedule of subsequent seasonal crops.

The complete absence of an engineered drainage outlet has systematically inflicted heavy financial damages on the agricultural community. Farmers report experiencing direct losses of thousands of rupees per acre, which has gradually compromised their financial stability over several consecutive years.

Gram Panchayat Delegation And Formal Request At Satlok Ashram

Faced with escalating crop losses and a lack of effective state intervention, the local leadership of Kharhar village sought external assistance. A village delegation, led by the village head (Sarpanch), travelled to Satlok Ashram to submit a formal request for help.

The village representatives initially identified a requirement for 3,500 feet of pipeline and a single water pumping motor based on their local estimations. Upon receiving this official petition, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directly ordered an immediate engineering survey team to evaluate the physical terrain and verify the parameters of the waterlogging zone.

Immediate Technical Field Survey And Revised Requirements

The designated technical evaluation team arrived at Kharhar village on the exact same day the petition was submitted, contacting the village head before the delegation could return home from the ashram.

The survey team conducted a thorough, objective inspection of the low-lying agricultural zones and the potential discharge routes. The resulting technical assessment concluded that the initial request of 3,500 feet of pipeline was structurally insufficient to provide a permanent solution for the total volume of trapped water.

  • The team revised the structural requirement to a total of 5,000 feet of pipeline.
  • The team increased the mechanical requirement from one pumping unit to two heavy-duty motors.
  • The finalized technical report was submitted for executive authorization, which Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj immediately approved to ensure a comprehensive resolution.

Technical Specifications of Authorized Relief Infrastructure

Following the validation of the survey report, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directly authorized the immediate release and transport of the complete infrastructure assembly. The logistical convoy delivered the materials to the village within twenty-four hours of the initial request. The complete inventory of the distributed technical assets includes:

  • Conduit Pipes: 5,000 feet of heavy-duty, 8-inch diameter water drainage pipes.
  • Adhesive Compounds: Industrial-grade Fevicol SR solvent to ensure completely airtight joints during installation.
  • Structural Connectors: Specialized pipeline components including heavy elbows (bends), coupling chains, and airtight joints.
  • Pressure Management: Industrial air valves designed to regulate internal pipeline pressure and sustain fluid dynamics.
  • Pumping Units: Two high-capacity electric water pumping motors rated at 10 Horsepower (HP) each.

Project Execution Guidelines and Phased Delivery Terms

The distribution team formalised the handover of the equipment to the Kharhar Gram Panchayat under a strict execution protocol. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directed specific procedural phases for the completion of the project:

  • Material Handover: The complete inventory of 5,000 feet of 8-inch piping, adhesives, connectors, and air valves was physically transferred to the custody of the Sarpanch and the village council.
  • Civil Work Timeline: The Gram Panchayat is required to utilize local community machinery and labor to lay and bury the entire 5,000-foot pipeline array underground within a 10-to-12-day window, prior to the onset of the peak paddy sowing season.
  • Physical Verification: Upon the completion of the excavation and underground pipeline alignment, the village council must notify the technical survey team.
  • Final Equipment Deployment: The technical team will perform a secondary inspection to verify the structural integrity of the buried pipeline. Following a positive verification report, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj will authorize the immediate release and installation of the two 10 HP pumping motors.

Community Handover Event and Local Perspectives

The arrival of the transport vehicle at 7:00 AM drew a large gathering of village elders, farmers, and local youth despite prevailing temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius. The community organized a formal welcoming procession through the streets of Kharhar, starting with a traditional reciting of the Mangalacharan. The village council officially welcomed the convoy, and the Sarpanch placed ceremonial garlands on the portrait of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as a sign of institutional appreciation.

Local residents, including a youth named Navdeep and a farmer named Ajay, noted that official administrative channels often take years to process similar infrastructure requests without yielding results.

The residents emphasized that this prompt 24-hour turnaround would directly safeguard their agricultural livelihoods. The delivery team stated that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has already extended similar infrastructural aid to over 500 villages nationwide under this ongoing socio-agricultural welfare program.

Long-Term Agricultural Reclamation And Economic Stabilization Of Kharhar

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directly resolved a multi-year agricultural bottleneck in Kharhar by supplying a complete, upgraded drainage network. The 5,000 feet of 8-inch underground piping and dual 10 HP pumping units will establish a reliable water management system capable of rapidly clearing flooded fields.

Preventing prolonged water stagnation preserves the arable soil structure and allows farmers to adhere to strict crop-rotation cycles. Eliminating seasonal crop destruction will directly reduce the community’s dependence on agricultural loans, providing a stable economic foundation for future generations in the region.
