Two panchayats of Hisar district, Haryana – Nyana (Niyana) and Alampur (Alampur), are technically separate but share the same pain. About 1500 acres of fertile land in these two villages were submerged in 3 to 5 feet deep water. Where crops used to wave, there was a sea-like scene. The administration had raised its hands citing a lack of resources, but Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s “Annapurna Muhim” changed the picture here.
Key points related to Nyana Panchayat of Hisar:
- Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj changed the fate of Nyana and Alampur villages
- Massive Relief Material: Sent a total of 17,500 feet of pipeline and 4 big motors for both villages.
- Alampur: Two 10 HP motors and 7,500 feet of pipe.
- Nyana: Two 15 HP motors and 10,000 feet of pipe.
- Gaushala Saved: The Gaushala (Cowshed) was saved from drowning, where 200-250 trolleys of soil were also dumped.
- Speed: Relief material arrived within just 3 days of the request.
1500 Acres of Land Submerged by Flood
Villagers reported that up to 5 feet of water was standing in the fields. Conditions were so bad that water had filled the main roads and streets of the village, making movement impossible. Farmer Mandeep said, “When we went to the officers asking for help, the officers said that there are no pipes, take electricity but bring pipes from somewhere else. The government had completely raised its hands (given up).”
Another farmer said, “Our 30-35 acres of land were in water, there was a direct loss of about 10-12 lakhs. If we hadn’t received this help, we were ruined.”
One Application and 17,500 Feet Long Hope
When every door was closed, the Sarpanches of both panchayats reached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. As soon as the application was submitted, the relief convoy set off. According to the villagers, this was a miracle. Sushil Kumar, a resident of Nyana, said, “The government comes to cut ribbons during elections. It gives one motor for 10 villages, but here 4-6 motors came to a single village. It takes a big heart (Kaleja) to do such work, which only Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has.”
“No One Does Such Detailed Service”
Villagers were amazed to see the quality and quantity of relief material. Farmers said they didn’t have to spend a single rupee. Kuldeep explained, “Not just motors and pipes, but nuts-bolts, washers, Adhesive, starters, and ropes came along. The sewadars (volunteers) came themselves, laid the line, and pumped out the water. The government gives half-hearted things, but here we got A-to-Z material.”
Both Gaushala and Wheat Saved
The impact of this help was that the village Gaushala, which was on the verge of drowning, was also saved. Water was pumped out through pipes and soil was filled in the Gaushala. Farmers who had assumed their land was gone are sowing wheat on the same land today.
A farmer emotionally said, “God had snatched the land, but Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj got us our land back. Today we have become the owners of our fields again.” Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has returned happiness to the homes of thousands of farmers. Today the entire region is indebted to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
