Khanpur village located in Barwala tehsil of Hisar district of Haryana, which was once known for its fertile land and prosperous farming, suddenly became a victim of a massive waterlogging tragedy. Water 7 to 8 feet deep all around, submerged fields, and breaking hopes of farmers—this scene was no less than a natural disaster.
The paddy crop had already been destroyed and farmers started fearing that now even wheat sowing would not be possible. The foul-smelling water filled in the fields had made the land barren. Government efforts were limited and the panchayat also appeared helpless before this massive problem.
In this difficult time, the service carried out under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and as per His orders emerged as a ray of hope for the village. This is not only the story of removing water, but an inspiring saga of humanity, selfless service, and faith.
The Crisis Deepened, But the Service Did Not Stop
About 750 to 1000 acres land of Khanpur village had completely submerged under water. Initially, under the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the village was provided 12,000 feet pipeline and four motors, so that the work of water drainage could be started.
But the situation was so serious that even these resources started proving insufficient. The water level continued to remain and villagers began to feel that perhaps the problem could not be solved.
People of the village and the sarpanch also had hesitation in their minds whether it would be proper to ask for assistance again or not. But as soon as they again prayed at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, an order was immediately given to send additional assistance.
This time 13,000 feet additional pipeline and one more powerful 15 HP motor were sent for the village. This prompt assistance carried out under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj surprised the entire village.
Detailed Description of Relief Material
According to the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the following assistance was provided to Khanpur village:
| Serial Number | Material | Details | |
| 1 | Total pipeline | 25,000 feet (8 inch pipe) | |
| 2 | Electric motors | 5 giant motors (including 15 HP) |
This assistance was not only for temporary relief, but was provided systematically with the purpose of protecting the village from such problems in the future as well.
Journey From Endless Water to Flourishing Crops
The machines and pipelines sent under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and as per His orders worked continuously day and night. The water which had remained a curse for the village for many years was gradually removed from the village.
Villagers showed foresight and permanently buried these pipes under the ground, so that if a waterlogging situation occurs in the future, water can immediately be drained out.
After about two months, the picture of Khanpur village had completely changed. Where earlier snakes and other aquatic creatures were seen in 8 feet deep water, today wheat crop is flourishing there.
According to villagers, farming has restarted again on about 99% land of the village. Some farmers have even started vegetable farming. The land which was considered unusable for a long time has now again become fertile.
Villagers Said: “This Was Not Just Assistance, It Was a Lifeline”
Elders and farmers of the village emotionally say that where only assurances were received from many places, real assistance was received under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
Villager Harikesh says:
“When there was water filled up to 5 feet in the fields and reaching there itself was difficult, then pipelines and motors arrived according to the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and our lives changed.”
Village sarpanch Rampal and other villagers say that if this assistance had not been received on time, farmers would have completely broken under the burden of debt and economic crisis. Today relief, happiness, and self-confidence are clearly visible among the people of the village.
A True Example of Humanity
This story of Khanpur village is not only of one village, but an example of that true spirit of service in which assistance was provided without any discrimination in times of need.
This service running under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and as per His orders proves that a true Saint is the one who does not only preach, but stands with society in its sorrow.
Today farmers of Khanpur are happily preparing their crops and are giving credit for this to the selfless service carried out by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
This service is not limited only to Haryana, but is also becoming a medium of relief and hope for people in disaster-affected areas of Punjab, Rajasthan, and other states.
