A small village named Nigana in Rohtak district of Haryana had been going through such a tragedy just a few months ago that it pushed the villagers almost into the darkness of despair. The fields were flooded with water, the walls of houses were weakening, and fear about the future was clearly visible in the eyes of the people.

Village elders say that they had witnessed such a situation nearly 30 years ago. For the first time since 1995, Nigana village faced such a devastating flood again in 2025. The fields had turned into ponds, standing crops of sugarcane and millet were rotting, and farmers were facing a serious crisis for their livelihood.
However, this story also has another side — a story of hope, cooperation, and the grace of God. When the villagers had lost hope from all sides, help arrived that completely changed the fate of the entire village.
Devastation of the Flood: Fields Turned into Ponds, Crops Destroyed
When continuous rainfall and waterlogging surrounded Nigana village, the fields were filled with three to four feet of water. Nearly 400 to 500 acres of land remained submerged. Where once lush green fields could be seen, there was now nothing but water everywhere. The crops of sugarcane and millet slowly began to rot.
Many farmers said that their months of hard work seemed to be getting destroyed within just a few days.
Farmer Ankit says:
“We had so much water in our fields that we could not understand what would happen next. If the water had not drained out, we would not have been able to sow wheat at all, and the sugarcane crop would also have been destroyed.”
Not only the fields, but water also started entering the houses in the village. In several rooms, water accumulated up to one foot deep. Walls began to weaken and floors started sinking.
The villagers spent nights trying to remove the water, but the situation was so severe that their efforts were not enough.
Threat of Disease: Dengue Increased the Worries
Along with the flood problem, another major threat emerged in the village — disease. Because of the stagnant water, the number of mosquitoes increased rapidly, and soon dengue cases started rising.
More than 500 dengue cases had been reported in the village. This situation became a double blow for the villagers. On one side their crops were being destroyed, and on the other side the fear of disease had reached every household. Farmers said they could not sleep at night. They feared that if the water was not removed soon, both the crops would be lost and the disease would continue to spread.
Hope from the Government, But Disappointment Followed
During this difficult time, the villagers also expected help from the administration and the government. However, according to the villagers, they received only assurances. Complaints were made several times, but no permanent solution was found. According to the villagers, time kept passing while the water levels continued to rise. Farmers began to feel that their crops might be completely destroyed this year.
A Ray of Help: Initiative of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
When the villagers could see no solution from anywhere, they appealed for help to the spiritual leader Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. According to the villagers, their request received a very quick response.
Understanding the seriousness of the problem, relief work was immediately initiated under His guidance. Three large 15-horsepower motors were sent to the village, along with approximately 13,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline. Along with this, all the necessary equipment to operate the motors — wires, fittings, and other materials — were also provided so that the work of draining the water could continue without interruption. This was not merely relief material; it was a decisive initiative to protect the entire village from both flooding and disease.
Continuous Water Drainage Operation
After the motors and pipelines were installed, a large-scale water drainage operation began in the village. Villagers say the machines worked continuously day and night. Water from the fields and streets was pumped out and directed far outside the village boundary. Within a few days, the situation began to change. Gradually, water started receding from the fields, and farmers began to see a ray of hope again.
Within about two months, nearly 80 to 85 percent of the village land had completely dried up.
Greenery Returned to the Fields
Once the water had completely drained, farmers immediately began sowing wheat. Today, the same fields that were once submerged are now covered with green wheat crops.
The biggest relief was that the sugarcane crop — which farmers had almost given up on — was also saved. Many farmers said that if the water had not been removed in time, the entire sugarcane crop would have been destroyed.
Now that same sugarcane is being transported to sugar mills.
Farmers Speak: “The Village Has Come Back to Life”
Farmers of the village say that this help proved to be like a new life for them.
Farmer Ramchandra says:
“If this help had not arrived, we would not have been able to sow wheat. The sugarcane crop would also have been ruined, and we would have suffered losses worth crores.” Another farmer, Brahmanand, says:
“We had never seen God, but today it felt as if someone truly heard our prayers.” Many farmers said that earlier they believed their fields would remain empty this year, but now they can see their crops growing again.
Support for Laborers and Poor Families
The benefit of this relief work was not limited to farmers alone. Laborers in the village also started getting work again. As farming activities resumed, opportunities for daily wage labor increased. Families whose houses had been flooded slowly began returning to normal life. Village elders say that during the floods the entire village life had come to a standstill, but now the village has become lively once again.
Preparing for the Future: Pipeline Preserved
Showing foresight, the villagers have decided to preserve this pipeline system for the future.
They have decided that after the harvest season, the pipes will be safely placed underground so that if such a situation arises again, water can be drained easily. Through this step, the village is also preparing itself for possible future disasters.
The story of Nigana village is not just about relief from floods — it is also an example of service and cooperation. Villagers believe that when they could see no hope anywhere, the initiative of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj gave them new courage.
Village mothers and elders say that they had never seen such service in their lives, where equipment worth crores of rupees was provided to the village without any selfish motive.
Nigana’s Transformation Through the Blessings of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
The story of Nigana village is not merely about recovering from a natural disaster; it is also an example of extraordinary compassion and assistance that gave new life to the entire village.
Villagers believe that this transformation became possible only through the grace and initiative of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. At a time when the people of the village were surrounded by despair from every direction and could see no path forward, He stepped forward and provided the assistance that saved the village from the double crisis of floods and disease.
According to the villagers, no one else had the capability to provide such large and immediate help. They consider Himan extraordinary and spiritually empowered Saint whose blessings brought relief to farmers, laborers, and the entire community.
The villagers also say that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is a rare Saint who does not take donations from society but instead gives donations to help those in need.
That is why today every family in Nigana village expresses deep gratitude toward Him, believing that His service and blessings have once again placed their village on the path of prosperity and happiness.
