Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj initiated the foundation stone laying process for two new cattle sheds to protect livestock from extreme temperatures, rainfall, and winter conditions, while also preserving fodder stocks in Shri Shri 108 Brahmachari Jai Ram Das Panchayati Gaushala in Beri town, Jhajjar district, Haryana.

The proceedings opened with the recitation of the Mangalacharan prayer. Present members and elders garlanded the portrait of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with floral wreaths.

The formal foundation ceremony was conducted by a 93-year-old retired military veteran, who is the oldest resident of Beri town. Key participants present during the event included:

  • Vice-President of Beri Gaushala, Jai Bhagwan Jangra
  • Former Gaushala President, Dharampal Pali
  • Former Gaushala Secretary, Ram Dhan Jangra
  • Gaushala Secretary, Naresh Kadyan

Facility Background and Operating Conditions

Shri Shri 108 Brahmachari Jai Ram Das Panchayati Gaushala functions as an extended branch of the original root facility established in 1885. The current branch was set up 10 years ago on five acres of land donated by local villagers. The gaushala serves a combined panchayat administrative area of 27 surrounding villages (also cited as 23 to 24 villages).

Prior to this intervention, hundreds of cattle were stationed outdoors due to structural space shortages. Exposure to rain damaged fodder and increased livestock health risks. Gaushala Secretary Naresh Kadyan and Vice-President Jai Bhagwan Jangra stated that committee representatives submitted a request to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj two months prior during a program at Dhanana ashram, with follow-up submissions made at Baland and Girawad events. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj sanctioned the request within two months.

Technical Dimensions and Implementation Framework

The construction encompasses two major shed units managed under a specialized committee established by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj:

  • New Gaushala Unit: A shed measuring 100 feet by 12 feet, situated on a site area measuring 105 feet by 98 feet by 120 feet, built to specifications of 18 feet in width and 15 feet in height.
  • Old Gaushala Unit: A secondary shed measuring 40 feet by 100 feet (initially mapped across layout dimensions of 90 by 25 feet and 90 by 50 feet).

The brick-laying activities commenced immediately upon the conclusion of the prayer. Construction is scheduled for completion within one to two months, depending on weather conditions.

Broader Socio-Economic and Agricultural Relief Operations

The project in Beri is integrated into the wider Annapurna Muhim directed by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Related welfare operations conducted across Haryana include:

  • Distribution of free chemical fertilizer and high-yield seeds to smallholder farmers owning up to 2.5 acres of land
  • Direct assistance measures for agricultural workers affected by flood damage
  • Infrastructure upgrades across regional animal shelters, including completed shed projects at Humayunpur Gaushala, a completed shed and a newly sanctioned fodder store warehouse at Dighal Gaushala, and ongoing fodder, water, and flooring provisions across Hisar and Mandi Chokar gaushalas

Structural Protection and Regional Cattle Care Expansion

The construction of two dedicated sheds sanctioned by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj addresses critical infrastructure deficits at the Beri gaushala. By providing covered housing for hundreds of cattle, the initiative protects livestock from seasonal weather extremes and prevents cattle feed from soaking during rain events across the 27 participating villages.
