Due to the lack of a permanent system for draining the dirty water of the village pond, water would collect in the nearby settlement. This caused continuous problems for the villagers. Hoping for a solution to this problem, the Gram Panchayat submitted a prayer at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan. After this, the work of developing a water drainage system in the village moved forward in phases.
Villagers Prayed for a Solution to the Problem
For draining the pond water in Samchana, the Gram Panchayat had stated the need for 8,800 feet of 8-inch pipeline and two motors. One of these was a 20 HP motor, while the other was a 10 HP motor. On the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, a survey of the village was conducted. After the requirement was found to be correct, the pipeline and the necessary materials required for laying it underground were provided.
After receiving this assistance, the Gram Panchayat and villagers started laying the pipeline according to the designated route. Approximately 4,000 feet of pipeline for the first drainage line was successfully laid underground. After this, the underground work was inspected again to ensure that the pipeline had been laid correctly and according to the required standards.
20 HP Motor Received After Re-Survey in Phase 2
After the pipeline work was inspected again, the re-survey report was presented at the feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. After the report was approved, a 20 HP heavy-duty Crompton company motor was provided to the Gram Panchayat of Samchana for the first drainage line.
Along with the motor, the machine alone was not provided. The necessary fitting materials required for its installation and for operating the water drainage system smoothly were also provided.
These included a 20-foot suction pipe, an L&T company starter, cable wire, PVC pipe, iron band, reducer, air valve, plate, clip, joint, and steel nuts and bolts, along with other necessary materials.
In this way, the Gram Panchayat was provided with all the necessary fitting materials, from the smallest to the largest requirement, along with the motor, so that a complete system could be prepared between the pipeline and the motor.
Work on the Second Line Still Remains Under Samchana Flood Relief Phase 2
A total of 8,800 feet of pipeline was required in Samchana. Out of this, approximately 4,000 feet of the first line has been laid underground.
According to the Gram Panchayat, some portion of the second line still remains to be laid underground. Due to rain, this work was progressing somewhat slowly, but it was stated that it would also be completed soon.
After the second pipeline work is completed, it will also be surveyed again. If the work is found to be correct, the approved 10 HP second motor will be provided to the Gram Panchayat. In this way, after both lines are completed, the village’s water drainage system will become stronger than before.

The Settlement Will Get Relief from Dirty Pond Water
The village’s problem was not limited to the pond. The pond water would overflow and enter the nearby settlement, causing problems for the residents.
Through the first pipeline and the 20 HP motor, an arrangement is being made to carry the dirty water accumulated in the pond to the local drain. The Gram Panchayat says that this will provide villagers relief from the problem of pond overflow and waterlogging in the nearby settlement.
After the second pipeline and 10 HP motor arrangement is completed, the water drainage system will become even stronger. This will help remove pond water regularly and help protect the nearby settlement from waterlogging during the rainy season.
Villagers Expressed Gratitude for the Service
The villagers, including the representative of the village Sarpanch, expressed their gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for this assistance. The villagers said that earlier, the entire settlement would become filled with water and there was no permanent arrangement for draining the dirty water.
Now, after the pipeline has been laid underground and the 20 HP motor has been provided, they have gained hope of relief. The villagers also said that the assistance materials were brought to the village and transported to the relevant location.
According to them, once this water drainage system is completed, it can provide significant relief from the problem of water accumulating in the settlement.
Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2 Increases Hope
The story of Samchana brings forward the initiative under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2, being carried out under Annpurna Muhim, in which assistance is provided according to the problem.
- First, the village’s requirement was identified.
- Then a survey was conducted.
- The pipeline was provided.
- After the underground work was completed, a re-survey was conducted.
- After the report was approved, the first line received a 20 HP motor along with the necessary materials.
- After the second line is completed and its re-survey is found to be correct, the process of providing the second 10 HP motor will also move forward in the same manner.
A Step Towards Relief for Samchana
For the villagers of Samchana, who have been facing the problem of dirty pond water and waterlogging for a long time, the availability of 8,800 feet of pipeline and a 20 HP motor is an important step toward relief.
The first water drainage line has been prepared, while the work on the second line remains to be completed. After that, receiving the second 10 HP motor will make the system stronger.
The pipeline, motor, and complete fitting materials provided on the orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj have strengthened the hope of solving the village’s long-standing problem.
The pond whose dirty water once became a problem for the nearby settlement is now being provided with a system to carry the water to the drain in an organized manner.
For the people of Samchana, this is not merely assistance in the form of pipes and motors. It is a new hope of getting their village relief from the problem of waterlogging.
