In the village of Bahu Akbarpur, located in the Rohtak Tehsil of Rohtak District, Haryana, severe waterlogging during the monsoon season has been a persistent issue for many years. Excess rainwater regularly accumulates in agricultural fields, ponds, and residential areas due to the lack of a permanent drainage system.
The waterlogging directly affects approximately 400 to 500 acres of farmland, leading to annual crop losses for local farmers and creating financial hardship.
Water accumulation along major village routes, including Lali Road, Mokhra Road, and Gopalpur Road, as well as overflow from local ponds like Goras Pond, disrupts daily movement and living conditions for the residents. Previous attempts by local authorities to resolve the drainage issue had stalled due to various procedural and field obstacles.
Panchayat Delegation and Same-Day Field Survey
To address the situation, a delegation comprising the Sarpanch representative of Bahu Akbarpur, panchayat members, and village elders visited the darbar of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj to submit a formal request for assistance under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2 initiative.
Following the submission, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj issued immediate instructions to send a technical survey team to Bahu Akbarpur on the same day. The survey team conducted a site evaluation using modern mapping tools:
- Drone Surveying: Aerial mapping to assess submerged fields, residential paths, and local drainage channels.
- Google Maps Integration: Topographical mapping to calculate accurate distances to the primary Lakhma drain.
The village delegation had initially requested 13,000 to 14,000 feet of pipeline to channel water from Goras Pond to a nearby local drain. However, the technical survey revealed that the local drain itself frequently overflows.
To provide a permanent solution, the survey team determined that the pipeline needed to extend directly to the Lakhma drain. Consequently, the required materials were revised upward to 17,500 feet of 8-inch pipeline along with six 10 HP water pumps.

Upon approval of the survey report by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the requested relief materials were dispatched directly to Bahu Akbarpur. The delivery was received by the village Sarpanch representative, committee members, and local residents.

Installation Protocol and Inspection Guidelines

Through the intervention under Phase 2 of the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided 17,500 feet of 8-inch pipeline and six 10 HP water motors to Bahu Akbarpur.
This infrastructure will route excess rainwater directly into the Lakhma drain, preventing seasonal flooding across 500 acres of agricultural land, safeguarding crops, and eliminating waterlogging in village residential areas.
