The village of Silani, officially known as Silani Zalim, located in the Jhajjar district of Haryana, had faced a continuous waterlogging crisis for approximately 10 to 15 years. Due to long-term administrative delays and recurrent seasonal rainfall, a vast expanse of approximately 2,000 acres of fertile, cultivable agricultural land accumulated stagnant water, transforming into a permanent reservoir.

The consequences of this prolonged accumulation of water extended beyond the loss of crops to affect residential structures:

  • During periods of heavy monsoon rainfall, contaminated water escaped the agricultural basins, flowing directly into lower-lying residential colonies and entering local houses.
  • The persistent absorption of moisture through the ground caused deep structural cracks to emerge across the walls of multiple residential buildings.
  • Structural damage escalated over time, resulting in the complete physical collapse of several residential walls.
  • Farmers were unable to sow their fields within normal seasonal timelines, causing them to delay operations until December or January when water levels partially receded.
  • Delayed sowing caused a systemic agricultural loss, forcing farmers to miss entire sowing periods and lose up to two full crop cycles every year.
  • The village pond (Johard) continuously overflowed, submerging local thoroughfares under knee-deep water and completely disrupting the movement of pedestrians and vehicles.

Failure of Administrative Channels and the Resolution of the Gram Panchayat

To address the long-term devastation of 2,000 acres of arable land, successive village administrations and local residents made numerous formal appeals to various state authorities over more than a decade.

The current Sarpanch of Silani Zalim, Mahavir, reported that during his three-year tenure, as well as during previous village administrations, representatives repeatedly visited ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Members of Parliament (MPs), and senior administrative leaders.

Despite these continuous efforts, no effective state-sponsored drainage solutions were implemented to clear the stagnant water. Local temporary measures, including the construction of an internal bypass drain and a drainage channel, proved entirely ineffective because the local water table had risen significantly.

Faced with a complete lack of administrative response, the Gram Panchayat of Silani Zalim convened an official meeting and resolved to submit a formal request for assistance to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. The Sarpanch and panchayat members officially drafted a petition on the village letterhead to request high-capacity water pumping machinery and industrial pipelines.

Ground Assessment and Final Technical Specifications Evaluated by the Survey Team

Following the submission of the written request by the Silani Gram Panchayat, which initially requested 20,000 feet of pipeline and two electric motors, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj immediately ordered an on-site survey team to inspect the village. The designated survey team arrived at Silani Zalim to perform a precise geographic and structural assessment of the flooded agricultural fields and residential blocks.

The field survey confirmed that the community’s request for infrastructure was fully justified. The technical evaluation produced the following definitive parameters:

  • The survey team established that a total of five distinct drainage locations (points) were required across the waterlogged zones to achieve complete dewatering.
  • The geographic distance from the primary drainage point to the final public disposal site, known as Drain Number 8, was measured to be approximately 1.25 kilometers (sva kilometer).
  • Covering this specific route required an initial pipeline length of approximately 3,300 to 3,400 feet for the first sector.
  • To fully connect all five designated points to Drain Number 8, the survey team officially passed a modified requirement specifying 13,500 feet of heavy-duty 8-inch diameter pipeline along with five separate 10 HP (Horsepower) electric motors.

Rapid Logistical Mobilization and Delivery of Phase 2 Infrastructure Within Twelve Hours

The delegation from the Silani village panchayat presented their official request to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj at 2:00 PM on May 21. Following the verification of the field survey, a massive fleet of transport trucks loaded with the approved infrastructure components arrived at the entrance of Silani village between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM the next morning, completing the delivery within 11 to 12 hours. The high-density industrial pipes were manufactured and dispatched directly from a dedicated factory location in Punjab.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directly provided the complete inventory of 13,500 feet of 8-inch heavy-duty pipes, and additionally supplied all necessary assembly components—including heavy industrial solvent (Fevicol), steel nuts, bolts, and connecting joints—ensuring that the local administration would not face assembly delays.

A large gathering of village elders, youths, and women assembled at the village boundary to receive the logistical convoy. Following the performance of the traditional Mangalacharan (sacred opening prayers) by the volunteer team, the entire inventory was formally handed over to the Silani Gram Panchayat.

Project Execution Protocols and Stated Operational Conditions

During the formal transfer of the relief inventory, the representatives of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj detailed a strict operational protocol to the members of the Gram Panchayat. According to the directive issued by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the village must first execute the complete physical excavation, trenching, and underground alignment of the entire 13,500 feet of 8-inch pipeline across the five pre-determined points.

The structural phase must follow a specific sequence:

  • The Gram Panchayat, under the personal supervision of Sarpanch Mahavir, has officially committed to burying the entire pipeline within a definitive 15-day timeline.
  • Immediately upon completing the physical underground installation, the panchayat is required to notify the central management office.
  • The specialized technical survey team will return to Silani Zalim to perform a secondary field verification and quality audit of the laid line.
  • Upon successful verification that the pipelines have been correctly installed, the five 10 HP electric motors will be instantly delivered and mounted at the respective junctions.
  • Once activated, this interconnected pumping network will permanently channelize seasonal stormwater and domestic overflow directly into Drain Number 8, permanently preventing accumulation in the residential sectors.

Scope of the Nationwide Humanitarian Interventions Under the Annapurna Muhim

The on-site volunteer coordinators clarified that all social welfare initiatives directed by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj are completely non-political, voluntary, and conducted entirely independent of state elections, government funding, or vote-bank calculations.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has established the Annapurna Muhim as a structural framework to execute large-scale humanitarian relief work across the country.

The permanent welfare operations under the Annapurna Muhim encompass several sectors:

  • The muhim constructs solid, permanent concrete housing units for destitute, impoverished, and marginalized families who lack shelter.
  • The muhim distributes comprehensive monthly sustenance kits to families in economic distress, containing a full month’s supply of flour, lentils, rice, potatoes, salt, spices, cooking oil, milk, and pickles.
  • In coordination with the Jhajjar initiative, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj simultaneously delivered a matching consignment of drainage pipelines to another flood-devastated village located in the Palwal district.
  • The broader ideological mission focuses on the total elimination of substance addiction, the eradication of the dowry system, and the complete socio-economic transformation of the country using text-based spiritual education.

Complete Drainage of 2,000 Acres of Land and Permanent Economic Recovery

The swift logistical intervention directed by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has established a permanent solution for hundreds of agricultural families dependent on the 2,000-acre basin in Silani Zalim.

Local residents, including an 85-year-old village elder named Mahavir and village women such as Khushi, noted that the infrastructure delivered overnight effectively resolved a structural crisis that state political figures had failed to address for over a decade.

The deployment of this high-capacity industrial drainage network ensures the complete reclamation of the submerged fields, allowing the local farming community to resume their standard double-crop annual cycle without interruption.

By permanently terminating the seasonal flooding of the lower residential blocks, the ongoing threat of property devaluation, structural cracks, and wall collapses has been completely mitigated, establishing long-term economic safety and stability for the entire population of Silani village.
