Drug addiction is a widely-prevalent and insidious problem in today’s world that has gripped individuals into complete devastation. It is not just an addiction, but a chronic disease that alters an individual’s brain structure and functions. This alteration often leads to a compulsive behaviour that establishes a cycle of dependency in victims. The impact of drug addiction causes a ripple effect, also affecting families of victims, and thus, also the society at large. Is there a cure that can permanently free an individual from the grip of drug addiction? Let’s explore.
The Impact On Health And Society
Drug addiction is one of the most devastating threats to health, wreaking havoc on the body and mind. Prolonged drug use leads to severe conditions like heart disease, liver damage and mental illnesses. It also increases the risk of contracting life-threatening diseases like HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, especially among those who use needles to inject drugs. Beyond the physical toll, addiction is often intertwined with psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety and schizophrenia. This further complicates the treatment and recovery of victims.

Addressing The Crisis
The multiple solutions offered by governments to treat drug addiction often fail due to a lack of comprehension of the root causes of addiction. Many programs focus on punitive measures.

Additionally, the stigma surrounding addiction discourages individuals from seeking help, while inconsistent policies and inadequate integration of mental health services further complicate recovery efforts.
Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj reveals that understanding the crisis of addiction lies in realising its root cause. What is the reason that despite knowing drugs are hazardous to health, the mind is still attracted to these dangerous substances? Sant Rampal Ji elucidates that the answer to this question that cannot be ably tackled by science lies in the real understanding of the Creation of the universe and the forces that govern our existence.
From Vices To Victory
The mind is ruled by Kaal Brahm, also known as Satan or Shaitan in various cultures. Kaal Brahm is the ruler of the kingdom comprising 21 universes. By commanding the mind to fall prey to vices, Kaal Brahm ensures that souls remain trapped in the never-ending cycle of karma. The law of karma within the Kaal’s domain, ensures that the souls are entrapped in the cycle of birth and death
The divine refuge of a Complete Saint alone can free us from the clutches of Kaal Brahm and lead to salvation forever. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is the only Tatvadarshi Sant (Complete Saint) in this world currently, fulfilling all the criteria outlined in our Holy Gita, for being a Tatvdarshi Sant.
