This announcement was made after the Tier-I result declaration on Dec. 18, 2025 and the Tier-II examination held on Jan 18 and 19, 2026 in computer based mode.

SSC CGL Result 2025: FTRA Overview
The First Round of Tentative Allocation (FTRA) has been done in accordance with the Notice dated March 03, 2026 for introduction of a sliding mechanism for qualifying candidates.
Referring to the Para 16.6 of the notice, the candidates are shortlisted for Section-III (Computer Knowledge Test) and Section-IV (Data Entry Speed Test) on the basis of their aggregate performance in Section-I and II of Tier II examinations.

The candidates shortlisted have to go through the Sliding Mechanism to provide fair, merit based opportunities to the candidates and minimise the unfilled vacancies arising from absenteeism of candidates.
For the sliding process, the candidates can choose the venue, date and slot by logging in to the official website from April 08 to April 10, 2026. After that, the sliding process will be held at the cities of concerned regional offices from April 13 to April 22, 2026 (Northern Region) and from April 13 to April 18, 2026 (Other Regions).
