Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Resolved Water Crisis in Farmana Lurjan, Sonipat in Phase 2

In Farmana Lurjan (Farmana Lujhan) village, located under Kharkhoda Tehsil of Sonipat District in Haryana State, the village pond (Doba Johad) remained completely dry for over 12 consecutive years. According to local residents and village elders, this problem had persisted for 20 to 30 years, and in some accounts, up to 40 to 55 years. The pond covers a total area of 7 acres, out of which 2 acres are excavated. Due to the lack of canal water inflow, water accumulation in the pond had ceased entirely, causing a severe drinking water crisis for livestock.

Due to the acute water shortage, villagers were forced to sell their livestock or abandon animal husbandry altogether. For livestock drinking water, villagers had made a temporary arrangement by connecting a tubewell line to a small concrete tank (hudi) and tap, which proved inadequate for the large livestock population of the village. Furthermore, the domestic drinking water supply system of Farmana Lurjan village relied on a single 7 HP (Horsepower) monoblock motor. This motor operated for 18 to 20 hours daily, leading to frequent breakdowns. Whenever the motor failed, the entire village faced a drinking water shortage lasting two to three days.

Previous administrative attempts failed to resolve the issue. A 40-kilometer-long pipeline coming from Dhana failed to deliver water to the village. The Block Samiti member representing Farmana and neighboring Nijampur Majra, along with local villagers, stated that repeated requests to officials and government authorities, public protests, and re-digging the pond yielded no permanent solution. Additionally, the issue of dirty drain water overflowing and mixing into clean water sources remained pending at the government level for three years without action.

Gram Panchayat Request and Survey via Drone and Satellite

During a village gathering organized following the passing of a villager’s father, Block Samiti members and residents decided to seek assistance from Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj. Subsequently, the Gram Panchayat of Farmana Lurjan submitted a formal prayer to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj for a permanent solution to the water crisis. The prayer requested a pipeline from the Salimser Majra (Salim Sharmajra) minor canal, located 6 to 6.5 kilometers away, to the village pond, along with necessary pumps.

Accepting the prayer, Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj immediately dispatched His survey team to Farmana Lurjan. The survey team utilized drone technology and satellite mapping to inspect the geographical area and pipeline route. All survey measurements and observations were recorded in a survey diary. The detailed survey report confirmed the following requirements:

  • A 10-inch diameter pipeline spanning approximately 6.25 kilometers (21,000 feet) from Salimser Majra minor canal to the pond.
  • One 20 HP motor to pump water into the pond.
  • One additional 7.5 HP (7 HP) monoblock motor to maintain regular domestic drinking water supply for the village.

The survey team submitted this report to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, following which He sanctioned the required assistance and materials.

Assistance Sanctioned and Material Distributed by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj

Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj provided complete relief material under “Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2”, “Pashudhan Bachao Shuddh Peyajal Seva Abhiyan”, and Annapurna Muhim. Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj sent 21,000 feet of 10-inch diameter PVC pipeline to Farmana Lurjan village using 8 to 10 trucks.

Along with the pipeline, Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj handed over all essential installation accessories to the Gram Panchayat to ensure uninterrupted execution of the project:

  • 21,000 feet of 10-inch PVC pipeline (delivered via 8-10 trucks)
  • Air valves
  • Bend plates
  • PVC pipes and corresponding joints
  • Fevicol
  • Nut-bolts
  • Pipe clips and related fittings

By His order, the 20 HP motor for the pond and the 7.5 HP monoblock motor (Crompton or Kirloskar brand) for domestic water supply will be handed over to the Gram Panchayat after a second survey following the underground installation of the pipeline.

Formation of Village Committee and Action Plan for Laying Pipeline

Upon receiving the materials, the Gram Panchayat of Farmana Lurjan constituted a village committee to execute the underground pipeline installation in a time-bound manner:

  • The Gram Panchayat appointed Kushal as the president of the committee, which consists of 8 to 10 village members.
  • The committee will select an appropriate contractor through a tender process to complete the underground pipe-laying work within 15 to 20 days.
  • The pipeline will connect the Salimser Majra minor canal directly to the village pond underground.
  • Air valves will be installed at appropriate intervals along the pipeline to regulate air pressure and prevent leakages.
  • Upon completion of the work, the Gram Panchayat will notify the survey team. The team will perform a re-inspection and report to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, after which He will hand over both motors (20 HP and 7.5 HP) to the village.

Welcome by Villagers and Reactions of Local Representatives

When the trucks loaded with relief material arrived at Farmana Lurjan, villagers assembled at the main crossroads (chowk) with drums (dhol) and showered flower petals to express their gratitude to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj.

The Sarpanch, Block Samiti member, Committee President Kushal, and local residents shared their remarks:

  • Sarpanch and Block Samiti Member: Stated that issues remaining unresolved for years despite visiting government departments were addressed immediately after praying to Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj.
  • Committee President Kushal: Remarked that livestock rearing was disappearing in the village due to water shortage, but this assistance provided by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj brought new life to the village, and the committee would complete the pipe-laying work within 15 to 20 days.
  • Villagers: Stated that bringing water from 6.25 kilometers away represents the largest permanent solution to the water crisis in the history of the village.

Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj resolved the 12-year-old water crisis in Farmana Lurjan village under Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2 by providing 21,000 feet of pipeline and essential installation accessories. The direct flow of water from Salimser Majra minor canal into the pond will secure sufficient drinking water for livestock, reviving animal husbandry in the village. Additionally, the provision of a 7.5 HP monoblock motor by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj will streamline domestic drinking water distribution across the village, ending reliance on a single 7 HP motor.
