How Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Turned Mockery into Reality in Baghdu Village
SHARE

This is the account of Baghdu village, located in Tehsil Sonipat of Sonipat district in Haryana, where devastating monsoon floods crushed the farmers’ livelihood. Villagers were suffering under stagnant floodwater that had drowned both their present and future. More than 250 acres (approximately 101 hectares) of agricultural land were completely submerged. Due to this waterlogging, the kharif paddy crop was entirely destroyed, and the hope of sowing the upcoming rabi wheat crop had also vanished.

Farmers were facing double financial losses. The hardship extended far beyond the fields; it endangered the lives and assets of all 36 communities living there. Severe waterlogging created a shortage of fodder for livestock, increasing the risk of animal casualties. Water entered homes, causing daily inconvenience. Schools and dispensaries were flooded, disrupting children’s education and healthcare facilities. With no visible government solution, villagers’ despair grew, and they placed their final hope in a spiritual power.

“Will They Bring Pipes on a Train?” From Mockery to Prayer

When all government attempts failed, Baghdu’s Sarpanch, Shri Praveen Kumar, took the courageous step of seeking help from Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj. While making this decision, some villagers mocked him, sarcastically asking, “Will they bring pipes on a train?” No one could imagine that such a large quantity of essential material could reach their village so quickly and free of cost.

Baghdu Village latter head

Under the leadership of Sarpanch Praveen Kumar, the entire Gram Panchayat visited Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj’s office in Barwala. They formally submitted a written request on the Panchayat letterhead, with signatures and official seal. The request clearly mentioned the need for five motors of 10 horsepower (10 HP) and 16,500 feet (5,029 metres) of pipeline for water drainage. The Sarpanch informed the media that he firmly believed Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj would bless Baghdu village. The speed of action on the request was nothing short of a miracle. Sewadars assured the Panchayat that as soon as the order arrived from Him, all required material would be sent immediately.

A “Train” of Relief Material Worth Lakhs

As villagers had mocked, just a few days after submitting the request, a massive convoy of help arrived in Baghdu, which locals described as “a train filled with pipes.” This convoy brought a new dawn for the farmers. The material sent by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj was worth lakhs of rupees and exceeded the original request in completeness.

Motors: Five 10 HP motors from reputed companies like Crompton and Kirloskar.

Pipeline: 16,500 feet (5,029 metres) of high-quality, 8-inch diameter pipeline.

Supporting equipment: Starters, cables, metallic fasteners, bands, hand tools, adhesive for pipes, and every nut and bolt required so villagers would not need to buy even a single item from the market. Most importantly, the cost of the material, transportation, and the labour of sewadars was entirely borne by the trust of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj. Villagers did not spend even one rupee, which further strengthened their faith.

Nationwide Impact of the Annapurna Muhim

This relief service in Baghdu is part of the nationwide Annapurna Muhim initiated by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj. Through this Muhim, He has resolved to fulfil the basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Sewadars shared that the list of flood-relief activities is very long. The service is not limited to Haryana; it has been completed in more than 300 flood-affected villages across Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, and other states, and continues uninterrupted. Some villages received as many as 10 to 17 motors based on need.

This service stands in complete contrast to traditional storytellers who charge lakhs for religious events and keep the money. Every donation received by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj from the devotees is deposited into the trust and spent entirely on public welfare activities such as flood relief, house construction for the poor, children’s education, and medical aid. His clear instruction is to avoid showmanship and work directly at the ground level. Helping farmers is considered the greatest virtue because when a farmer’s stove burns, the labourer’s stove burns as well. This service is dedicated to the welfare of society and the nation.

Villagers Declare, “We Have Found God”

As soon as relief material arrived, the joy of Baghdu’s villagers was overwhelming. Farmers unanimously called Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj “a manifestation of God.” Sarpanch Praveen Kumar thanked Him sincerely, saying, “If not for Saint Rampal Ji’s grace, we might not have sown wheat this year.” Other villagers expressed amazement at the speed and scale of the assistance. One resident said, “We have found God for ourselves,” while another remarked, “A Maharaj like Him is not born again, who helps in crisis without being asked.”

Villagers confirmed that without this help, nearly 90 percent of the village’s land would have remained unsown. The mockery directed at the Sarpanch (“Will they bring pipes on a train?”) had now turned into reality, silencing critics. This help was not just about removing water; it was life-giving support for countless farmers and labourers, rekindling hope for the next crop.

Transparent Service and Commitment to a Long-Term Solution

A “Special Request Letter” from Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj was also handed over to the Gram Panchayat, reflecting His transparency and discipline. The letter instructed that the village must drain the water as soon as possible so the next crop can be sown. It included a clear warning: “If water is not drained within the required time using the material provided by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj and sowing is not completed, our trust will not extend further help to your village.” This condition motivated villagers to act immediately and collectively. The letter also described a unique method to ensure transparency. According to His instructions:

  • A drone video of the waterlogged fields has already been recorded.
  • A second video will be made once the water is drained.
  • A third video will be made when crops begin to flourish.

All three videos will be shown at every satsang gathering in Satlok Ashrams. The dual purpose of this is to maintain the trust of donors and to show them how their donations have saved countless lives.

Additionally, the Muhim aims not only to give immediate relief but also to offer a permanent solution. Villagers were requested to bury the motors and pipelines in their land so they can pump out water immediately whenever it rains. This selfless initiative of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, along with His assurance of providing more material in the future if needed, has proven to be a precious blessing granted by God Kabir. Sarpanch Praveen Kumar assured that the material would be used responsibly and that the village would drain the water quickly, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Saint.
