Road projects worth INR 293 crores are sanctioned for the state of Himachal Pradesh under CRIF. The projects aim at increasing connectivity and access to good quality roads. - As per the recent press release, road projects worth INR 293.36 crores have been approved for the state of Himachal Pradesh by the Central government.
- The information has been shared by Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Vikramaditya Singh.
- The minister also mentioned that these projects would play a vital role in improving connectivity, quality of life and promote economic growth of the residents.
- A total of 5 road and bridge projects have been sanctioned under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) for the financial year 2024-25.

- Out of the five projects sanctioned, two are for district Hamirpur and one each for district Mandi, Shimla and Kangra.
- Upgradation of the 52 km Tikkar-Jharol-Gahan-Nanakhari-Khamadi Road in Shimla district – INR 54.87 crore
- 20 km Sujanpur Tihra-Sandhol Road in Hamirpur district – INR 41.10 crore
- 37 km Navgaon-Beri road in Hamirpur district – INR 79.25 crore
- Development of 828-metre high level bridge on Gaj Khad in Kangra – 86.34 crore.
- Upgradation of 9.6 km Bakhrot-Karsog-Sanarli-Sainj road in Mandi – INR 31.80 crore.
