Gaelpur Village Receive Relief from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj under Kisan Majdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2

Gaelpur village in Haryana’s Palwal district has been struggling with a long-standing problem that severely affected the hard work, hopes, and livelihoods of its farming community. During the monsoon season, rainwater accumulated in the fields with no permanent drainage system in place. As a result, nearly 200 acres of agricultural land remained waterlogged for months, often leading to complete crop losses. Farmers fell deeper into debt, agricultural laborers lost employment opportunities, and uncertainty became a part of everyday life.

During the ground visit, the pain of past years was evident in the words of elderly villagers and farmers. At the same time, they expressed renewed optimism that, for the first time, a permanent solution to their long-standing problem now appears possible.

Years of Waterlogging Took Away Farmers’ Prosperity

Farmers in Gaelpur explained that every rainy season, their fields turned into ponds because there was no proper outlet for excess water. The stagnant water remained for several months, making it impossible not only to cultivate crops but even to enter the fields.

One farmer said emotionally,

“When you watch your entire crop drown before your eyes, it breaks your heart. Many seasons passed when our fields remained completely uncultivated. Farm workers had no employment, and farmers continued sinking deeper into debt.”

According to the villagers, this was not merely an agricultural issue. The entire village economy suffered because when farming stopped, laborers also lost their livelihoods.

Village Panchayat Requested a Solution; Survey Led to a Permanent Plan

The villagers and the Gram Panchayat appealed for assistance under the Kisan Majdoor Bachao Abhiyan by submitting their request before His Holiness Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. After the request was accepted, a survey team visited the village to assess the situation. The survey revealed that a permanent solution required the construction of two separate drainage lines. According to the assessment, approximately 6,100 feet of 8-inch pipeline and two 10 HP motors—one for each drainage line—would be needed.

Following approval of the survey report, the village received the required 6,100 feet of pipeline along with other necessary materials. With collective efforts from the villagers, the underground work for the first drainage line was completed, while work on the second line continues.

10 HP Heavy-Duty Motor and Complete Fitting Material Reach the Village

After completion of the first pipeline, the survey team revisited the site for inspection. Once the work was found to meet the required standards, approval was granted and the village received a 10 HP heavy-duty motor along with complete fitting material for operating the first drainage line. The supplied equipment included a 10 HP Crompton motor, an L&T starter, suction pipe, PVC pipes, air valve, reducer, iron clamps, mounting plate, and other essential fittings.

Villagers said that once the first drainage line becomes operational, rainwater accumulated in the fields can be effectively removed, providing much-needed relief to the affected agricultural land. Many residents expressed hope that protecting farmers ultimately strengthens the nation.

Villagers Shared Their Happiness During Ground Reporting

Jagpal Das said that His Holiness Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj had rendered a great service to farmers. He explained that areas once submerged under water would now be properly drained. According to him, prosperous farmers contribute to a prosperous nation, and he expressed heartfelt gratitude to His Holiness Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.

Moharpal stated,

“We received 6,100 feet of pipeline. One drainage line has already been laid underground, and the motor along with all the required equipment has also been delivered. Once the second line is completed, the second motor will also be provided. This is a major relief for our village.”

Another villager said,

“No one had ever addressed this issue with such seriousness before. This support has come at the right time. It will help us resume farming and benefit future generations as well.”

Enthusiasm Among the Gram Panchayat and Villagers as They Await Completion of the Second Line

Representatives of the Gram Panchayat said that the first drainage line would significantly improve water management. Once the second line is completed, the overall drainage system will become even stronger. Volunteers clarified that the project is progressing in a transparent and phased manner. The first motor was provided only after the completion and inspection of the first drainage line. Likewise, the second motor will be supplied after the second line is completed and verified.

Villagers believe that this system will provide lasting benefits to nearly 200 acres of farmland and substantially reduce the problem of rainwater accumulation in the future.

More Than Equipment—A Promise for the Future

Farmers in Gaelpur emphasized that the most valuable aspect of the initiative is not merely receiving pipes or motors, but the confidence that the project is being implemented systematically. The process began with a survey, followed by the supply of pipelines. After the underground installation was completed and inspected, the first motor and complete fitting material were delivered. Similar support will be extended after the second drainage line is completed.

Villagers believe that such initiatives succeed only when assistance goes beyond announcements and is visibly implemented on the ground.

Villagers Appreciated the Service Initiatives of the Holiness of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj

Villagers expressed their appreciation, saying that the welfare initiatives undertaken for poor families, farmers, and laborers have brought renewed hope into their lives. According to the farmers, protecting agriculture means protecting the livelihoods of entire families. They stated that through the Kisan Majdoor Bachao Abhiyan, assistance has been provided in areas such as water drainage, pipelines, motors, seeds, fertilizers, support for needy families, ration distribution, education, and healthcare.

The villagers thanked His Holiness Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, saying that such initiatives play a meaningful role in improving the lives of economically weaker sections of society.

Improved Drainage Will Transform the Village

Experienced farmers believe that timely drainage will significantly improve agricultural productivity. Land that has suffered from continuous waterlogging is expected to regain its fertility, allowing timely sowing and better crop yields.

Local laborers are also expected to benefit from increased employment opportunities within the village, strengthening the rural economy. Residents hope that this initiative will largely eliminate the long-standing problem of waterlogging in the coming years.

Years of Waiting Near an End: Green Fields Expected to Return to Gaelpur

The story of Gaelpur is not merely about receiving pipelines and motors—it is about restoring hope for farmers who spent years watching their hard work disappear beneath floodwaters.

The first drainage line has been completed, the motor has been delivered, and work on the second line is progressing steadily. Villagers are confident that the entire drainage system will soon be fully operational, allowing nearly 200 acres of agricultural land to flourish once again.

Today, the eyes of Gaelpur’s farmers reflect optimism instead of despair. They believe that when fields are protected, farmers become stronger, laborers find employment, and the entire village moves toward lasting prosperity.
