Behalba village: Rohtak, Haryana: Behalba (locally known as Balambha) in Haryana’s Rohtak district, divided into two panchayats — Behalwa and Behalwa Bajaan — was recently struck by a severe flood. This natural calamity submerged over 1,000 acres of farmland, destroying standing crops and dashing hopes for the next sowing. In the absence of government aid, both panchayats sought help from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, which led to a large-scale relief operation under the “Annapurna Muhim”, reigniting hope across the entire village.
Floodwater remained in Behalba for several days, causing massive financial losses for farmers. With their crops destroyed, their livelihood was at stake. Lack of fodder for animals, waterlogged homes, and the closure of schools and dispensaries had thrown village life into chaos. According to locals and village heads, repeated pleas to the government went unanswered. Sarpanch Satpal Ji and Sarpanch Representative Vimpal Vaan Ji said they searched for three days for motors and pipes but had to return empty-handed.
Appeal to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and Immediate Response
Disheartened by government inaction, the Behalwa Panchayat, led by Sarpanch Satpal Ji, requested 3,000 feet of pipes and four 15-horsepower motors. Similarly, the Behalwa Bajaan Panchayat, led by Sarpanch Representative Vimpal Vaan Ji, sought 20,000 feet of pipes and three 15-horsepower motors. This appeal was sent on 3 October through a formal application to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Astonishingly, where government processes take months, He responded immediately.

Within just three days, by 6 October, seven 15-horsepower motors and 23,000 feet (about 15 kilometres) of high-quality 8-inch pipes, along with starters, cables, and all required materials, reached Behalba. The aid was so extensive that a convoy of trucks was needed to deliver it.
Details and Distribution of Relief Materials
The relief materials sent by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj included the following key items:
- Motors: A total of seven large 15-horsepower motors — four given to Behalwa Panchayat and three to Behalwa Bajaan Panchayat.
- Pipes: A total of 23,000 feet of high-quality 8-inch pipes — 3,000 feet for Behalwa Panchayat and 20,000 feet for Behalwa Bajaan Panchayat.
- Supporting Equipment: Starters, cables, and other necessary items required for running the motors were also provided to ensure villagers faced no difficulty.
This initiative was not limited to Behalba alone. According to His volunteers, similar assistance has already been provided in over 200 villages, and the effort continues.
Villagers’ Reaction and Gratitude
Seeing the large convoy of relief materials, the villagers of Behalba were overjoyed and described it as nothing short of a miracle. They unanimously hailed Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as “God” and expressed heartfelt gratitude. Sarpanch Satpal Ji said, “Rampal Ji Maharaj has given us pipes to drain out the water so we can sow the next crop. The previous crop was destroyed, and even the next one seemed impossible.” Sarpanch Representative Bheem Pehlwan Ji stated, “The work that should have been done by the government is being done by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.”

The head of the Bharatiya Kisan Union, Meham Block, also praised the “Annapurna Muhim”, noting that Sant Rampal Ji had arranged food and shelter for flood-affected regions in Punjab as well. Villagers, including women, children, and all 36 communities, welcomed the aid with immense respect, presenting turbans and shields as tokens of honour to His representatives.
Permanent Solution and Caution for the Future
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj not only provided immediate relief but also ensured a long-term solution. He advised villagers to bury the provided pipes in their fields so that whenever heavy rains occur in the future, they can easily drain out water and permanently rid themselves of flooding problems. He described this as an “invaluable gift” given by the grace of God Kabir.

However, along with this assistance came a firm directive. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj instructed that if the provided relief materials were not properly used in time to remove the water and prepare for the next sowing, His Trust would not help that village again. The purpose of this instruction was to ensure villagers take active responsibility for solving their problems. The Trust also used drones to record the village’s flood situation and planned to capture footage again after the fields recovered to assure donors that their contributions were used properly.
A Broader Social Commitment
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Himself comes from a farmer’s family and deeply understands the pain of farmers. According to Him, this is a matter affecting the lives and livelihoods of all 36 communities, where homes are flooded, livestock are harmed, and children’s education is disrupted.

He urged other religious leaders and storytellers — who usually earn lakhs for their sermons but remain inactive in times of crisis — to step forward for social service. He believes that the truest use of donated money lies in serving humanity and performing acts of charity. The “Annapurna Muhim” is built on this very principle: ensuring that no one in the nation goes hungry or lacks essential support.
An Extraordinary Example of Public Service and Foresight
The flood relief work conducted by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj in Behalba village was not merely an immediate rescue operation; it symbolised selfless service and far-sightedness towards society. Where governments and organisations often fail to act adequately during such disasters, His “Annapurna Muhim” gave villagers new direction and hope. This initiative not only alleviated their suffering but also provided them with confidence and a sustainable solution to face future challenges. Throughout Haryana, His efforts are being widely praised. Once again, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has proven that true spirituality lies not in preaching, but in genuine service and compassion for humanity.
