For six decades, rainwater logging crippled agricultural lands and lower regions of Kharparwas village, Jhajjar district, Haryana. While decades of administrative appeals led to false promises, farmers continued to face devastating crop losses year after year. In their moment of absolute helplessness, the Gram Panchayat of Kharparwas turned to Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj under the Annapurna Muhim (Kisan Majdur Bachao Abhiyan) Phase 2. Demonstrating unmatched divine vision, speed, and compassion, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj delivered an organized, step-by-step permanent solution, transforming decades of suffering into joy.
Existing Condition of the Village
Kharparwas village, located in the Matanhail block of Jhajjar district, Haryana, had been severely plagued by rainwater stagnation since the year 1964.
- Stagnant rainwater constantly inundated low-lying areas and fertile agricultural fields, causing massive economic distress to local farmers.
- Successive governments and administrations changed over the decades, yet not a single authority provided a lasting drainage mechanism for the village.
- Farmers lived under continuous fear of crop damage, with no dedicated pathway to push the excess floodwater out to the nearby Jawahar Lal Nehru (JLN) Feeder Canal.
Heartfelt Plea by Villagers
Having heard of the magnanimous relief efforts being carried out under the Annapurna Muhim (Kisan Majdur Bachao Abhiyan) Phase 2, village elders and representatives approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj on June 13 with a humble written request. Following an initial on-ground survey, the requirements for the village were identified as:
- 7,000 feet of 8-inch high-quality drainage pipeline
- One 20 HP heavy-duty motor
- One 10 HP heavy-duty motor
Help Given by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
Under the divine orders of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, an immediate survey team was dispatched on the very evening of June 13. By June 14, 7,000 feet of high-grade 8-inch PVC pipes arrived in the village. Complete directions on how to install the motors and lay the pipeline were given to the villagers.
The villagers used a JCB to dig 4-foot deep trenches and undergrounded all 7,000 feet of pipeline leading directly to the JLN canal. Upon completion, a re-survey team inspected the underground pipeline to ensure it met exact technical standards. Once the re-survey report was approved by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the motors and fittings were dispatched and handed over to the Gram Panchayat:
- One 20 HP heavy-duty motor (Crompton make)
- One 10 HP heavy-duty motor (Crompton make)
- L&T starter panels for both motors
- 20-foot suction hoses (suondiya), PVC pipes, connecting wires, iron bends, reducer socket clamps, air valves, road-crossing fittings, rubber jointers, solvent adhesive, and steel nuts & bolts.
All materials were provided completely free of cost and permanently gifted to Kharparwas village, ensuring zero financial burden on the farmers.
Systematic Survey, Re-Survey, and Implementation Process
The flood relief provided under the Annapurna Muhim (Kisan Majdur Bachao Abhiyan) Phase 2 stood out for its meticulous execution. Under the instructions of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, aid was delivered in a structured, phased manner:
- Initial On-Ground Survey: After receiving the petition, a survey team verified the geography and sanctioned 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipes.
- Underground Pipe Layering: Clear instructions were issued that after the villagers undergrounded the 7,000 feet of pipe at a depth of 4 feet to the JLN canal, the motors would be delivered.
- Re-Survey Verification: Once the villagers completed the underground pipeline installation and created two dedicated connection points, the survey team re-inspected the ground layout.
- Handover of Motors & Accessories: Upon verification of the re-survey report, both Crompton motors along with every necessary accessory from top to bottom were handed over.
Villagers’ Voice
The villagers and Panchayat representatives expressed immense gratitude and shared their firsthand experiences:
- Panchayat Representative: “Sant Rampal Ji gave us 7,000 feet of pipe… we undergrounded 350 pipes nearly 4 feet deep using JCB up to the JLN canal. He also provided air valves and road-crossing fittings. Once both motors run, 80% of our drainage issue will be solved.”
- Gram Panchayat Member: “Our elders went with an ardas on June 13. By the evening of June 13, the survey team arrived—something no government could do. On June 14, the pipes arrived… Not a single rupee was charged from us. We were fighting this crisis since 1964. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj came down like God for us.”
- Local Resident: “He is doing work like God Himself. Helping the farmers is very nice work.”
