Two and a Half Months of Silence and Administrative Failure
Sippar village and its surrounding agricultural land, covering nearly 250 to 300 acres, had remained completely waterlogged for the past 75 days. Kharif crops such as cotton, pearl millet, and sorghum had rotted and been destroyed in stagnant water. The severity of the situation can be understood from the fact that standing water of two to two and a half feet had not only ruined the current crop but also cast a shadow over the upcoming Rabi season sowing, particularly wheat.
Villagers reported that despite repeatedly appealing to local leaders who had served as MLAs for 15 years and to the current government, no concrete action was taken. Since the fields were located far from the minor canal, drainage without modern resources was impossible.
Immediate Orders from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and the Nature of Assistance
When the government machinery and political leadership failed to resolve the villagers’ problems, the Sippar Gram Panchayat submitted an application at the Barwala office of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Understanding the sensitivity of the issue and the suffering of the farmers, He issued strict and immediate instructions to dispatch relief materials without delay.
Relief Materials Handed Over to the Village
12,000 feet (3,657 metres) of 8-inch pipes
This extensive pipeline was provided to channel the trapped water from the fields to the main drainage outlet.
Two powerful 15 HP motors
A complete set of high-capacity motors was supplied to expel water rapidly.
Complete installation kit
From nuts and bolts to pipe-joining tools, every essential item was included so that villagers would not have to spend even a single rupee.
Annapurna Muhim: “Ground-Level Service, Not Showmanship”
Volunteers of Annapurna Muhim, operated under Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, clarified that Guru Ji’s primary objective is to save farmers’ crops. Under this campaign, similar services have already been provided in more than 300 villages across Haryana and other states. Volunteers explained that Sant Ji Himself comes from a farming family, which is why He deeply understands the social and economic pain caused by crop destruction. This mission is not public display, but a sincere effort to keep the hearths burning in farming households whose only source of income is agriculture.

Service with Conditions: A Unique Model of Accountability and Transparency
Along with the relief service, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj also sent an official letter to the Gram Panchayat, adopting a strict stance on the proper utilisation of the assistance. According to the letter, if water drainage is not completed within the stipulated time and the next crop is not sown despite this support, the trust will not provide any future assistance to the village.

To ensure transparency, drone technology is being used. Volunteers stated that drone videos of the waterlogged fields have already been recorded. Further videos will be made after the water is drained and again when crops flourish. These videos will be shown to devotees at Satlok Ashrams of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, reinforcing trust that every penny of donated funds is being utilised for the welfare of humanity.
Emotional Gratitude from Villagers and a New Lease of Life
Upon receiving the relief materials, village elders and the sarpanch described it as “divine help.” One elderly villager said in the local dialect,
“Rampal Maharaj has done wonders for us; for us, He is God Himself.”
Villagers shared that prolonged waterlogging had caused cracks in their houses and even created a crisis for animal fodder. The sarpanch assured that the entire village would work together for the benefit of all 36 communities to drain the water and ensure sowing of the next crop.
The Sippar Gram Panchayat also presented a memento to honour Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, expressing gratitude for the assistance of 12,000 feet (3,657 metres) of pipes and motors.
A New Benchmark for Religious Institutions
From a journalistic perspective, this episode stands as both a challenge and an inspiration for other religious institutions and storytellers. While many religious figures collect donations worth crores, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has set a new benchmark by directly deploying those funds for public welfare and disaster management. The story of Sippar is not just about relief for one village, but about the unbreakable trust that awakens when power and administration step aside.
