In one of the major decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on 16th October, 2024, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the cabinet decided to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for the marketing season 2025-26.

This decision has been taken in accordance with the provisions made in the Union Budget 2018-19 about taking the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to the cost of at least 1.5 times the cost of production (all-india weighted).
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also appreciated the decision of the Union cabinet through a post on social media platform X.

Rapeseed and Mustard (INR 300)
Lentil (Masur) (INR 275)
Gram (INR 210)
Wheat (INR 150)
Safflower (INR 140)
Barley (INR 130)
Following is the list of margins over the All-India weighted average cost of production (in descending order):
Wheat (105%)
Rapeseed and Mustard (98%)
Lentil (Masur) (89%)
Gram (60%)
Barley (60%)
Safflower (50%)
