- Two flyovers including one double decker flyover are scheduled to be inaugurated in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on 5th October 2024.
- One of them is a 4-lane Kamptee double-decker flyover that is set to open after seven years of construction, set to be inaugurated by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
- The 5.67 km long flyover, faced a lot of hurdles over the past seven years since its construction began, including a three year halt due to land acquisition issues.
- The flyover was built at a whooping INR 573 crores approximately, including five metro stations as well, and will operate a road and rail network on its two levels.
- The next flyover to be inaugurated on 5th October is Wadi flyover in Nagpur.
- Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate the flyover along with Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis at MIDC Junction, Wadi.
- The 2.4 km long Wadi flyover was built at a substantial cost of INR 246 crore by the PWD Department.
- Wadi flyover starts at Wadi Gurudwara and ends at Wadi police station.
