550 Acres of Land Hit by Severe Waterlogging

Farmers of Janacholi-Aluka village shared that due to waterlogging and sem, their land had been badly affected for years. Water in the fields destroyed crops, and in many places farming had become impossible.

The pain of the villagers was that even those who had 20 acres of land were forced to buy grain for their families and fodder for their animals. One farmer said, “Nothing had grown in our fields for years. Now we hope crops will grow again.”

First Phase Help Saved 250 Acres of Land

Villagers shared that in November 2025, they prayed to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for the first time. At that time, 10,000 feet of pipes and 3 motors were provided to the village. These are the same number of motors and same length of pipes as requested by villagers in their prayer letter. After receiving this support, villagers laid some pipelines and started draining water.

According to villagers, this first phase brought relief to nearly 250 acres of land, and sowing became possible there. This gave the villagers confidence that if the remaining land also gets a proper drainage system, the entire area can become cultivable again.

Prayer Made Again in the Second Phase

After receiving relief in the first phase, villagers prayed again for the remaining land. This time, they requested 11,000 feet of pipes and a 20 HP motor so that the remaining water from the fields could be drained into the Gonchi Drain.

According to villagers, action was taken very quickly after the prayer. They said they returned after submitting their prayer in the afternoon, and shortly afterward, they received a call from the survey team. The survey team reached the village, inspected the situation, and the next day, relief material reached the village.

Relief Reached in 16 Hours, Wave of Happiness in the Village

The people of Janacholi-Aluka described this help as “service moving at the speed of thought.” Many villagers said they had not even fully returned to the village when the survey team had already reached there. The next morning, when people woke up, vehicles loaded with pipes had already arrived.

Villagers welcomed the relief material with drums, tractors, and flower garlands. In their words, “This happiness is greater than Holi and Diwali because now our fields will be saved and our children’s future will be secured.”

Farmers and elders of the village said that they had hoped for help from leaders, MLAs, ministers, and administration for a long time, but received only assurances. Many villagers said that even political connections and relations could not bring a permanent solution to the problem.

One villager said, “We were tired of pleading before the government. When we prayed to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, we received help the first time itself, and now, the second time too, the material reached so quickly.”

Village Mothers Expressed Their Pain Through Songs

The mothers and sisters of Janacholi-Aluka village expressed their pain through songs. They shared how waterlogging had affected the entire household. Children’s education, food arrangements, animal fodder, and the family’s livelihood were all under pressure.

One woman said, “There was not even grain for the children. Today Sant Rampal Ji has helped us a lot.” These words reflect the real condition of the village, where waterlogging was not only a farming issue but a crisis for entire families.

Now Field Water Will Go to the Gonchi Drain

The pipes provided in the second phase will be laid underground and connected to the Gonchi Drain. After the pipeline is fully laid, a survey will be conducted, and then the motor will be provided. Once the motor is installed, water collected in the fields will be drained through the pipeline into the drain.

This arrangement will help drain water quickly during rainfall or sem conditions. Villagers believe that if the system becomes fully operational, the remaining land will also become suitable for farming.

Why Is This Help Important for Farmers?

For Janacholi-Aluka village, this help is not merely about pipes or motors; it is a solution connected to farmers’ livelihoods. When fields remain submerged, the entire financial system of farmers comes to a halt.

This help can provide the village with the following benefits:

  • Waterlogging and sem problems will end.
  • Sowing will be done on time.
  • Fodder availability for animals will improve.
  • Farmers will no longer be forced to buy grain despite owning land.
  • The village economy will improve.
  • Laborers will get work in the fields.
  • Barren land will become fertile again.
  • The entire 36 communities of the village will benefit collectively.

Annapurna Muhim and Kisan Majdoor Bachao Abhiyan

Under the Annapurna Muhim and Kisan Majdoor Bachao Abhiyan started by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, relief work is being done in flood-affected and waterlogged villages. Through this campaign, pipes, motors, and other necessary material are being provided to create water drainage systems in villages.

In Janacholi-Aluka village, help in both the first and second phases has given villagers confidence that a years-old problem can be solved permanently. Villagers described it as a “lifeline received during a crisis.”

This News Is Not Limited to Janacholi-Aluka Village

Now, with 11,000 feet of 8-inch pipes arriving in the second phase, hope has returned that greenery will come back to the remaining fields too.

Now, it is the responsibility of the village Panchayat and farmers to lay the pipeline as soon as possible, so that once the motor is installed, drainage can begin. As this system succeeds, the submerged land of Janacholi-Aluka village will once again give crops, fodder, and prosperity.
