On the morning of 9th October, 2024 (Wednesday), a fire broke out at Royal World Complex, Sansar Chandra Road, Jaipur.
- The complex was a five storey building, and the incident occurred on the fourth and the fifth floor of the building.
- Rescue and emergency response teams were called after receiving the information.
- There are approximately 10 offices on the floors where the fire happened, and it happened due to a short circuit.
- Surrounding roads were closed, and electricity supplies were shut off to prevent further damage.
- Around 15 fire fighting vehicles were used, and 6-7 vehicles made multiple trips to suppress the fire.
- Final checks were conducted and fire was prevented from spreading.
- Since the incident occurred in the early morning hours, no casualties have been reported so far. Had it occurred during the daytime, the situation could have worsened.
- CFO Devendra Kumar Meena said “Fire broke out on the 4th and 5th floors. Around 15 vehicles here (for firefighting operations), 6-7 of them have done double trips. We also called a hydraulic machine. We are making the final checks now. We had issued them notice earlier too. It is being said that it happened due to short-circuit,”
