Delhi Lakshmi Yojana: Introduction
An initiative started by the Department of Women and Child Development, headed by Government of NCT of Delhi to support and empower economically weaker women and their families.
Under this scheme, the eligible beneficiaries will receive ₹2,500 per month directly in their bank accounts. This financial assistance is intended to help women meet daily expenses related to household, healthcare, children’s educational needs, and other essential requirements.

In order to ensure that the benefit of the scheme reaches to the genuine beneficiaries, the few eligibility conditions are specified by the Government of Delhi which are as follows:
- Permanent resident of Delhi
- Residing in Delhi for at least 10 years
- Between the age group of 21 to 60 years
- Annual income of the family is not exceeding ₹2.5 lakh
- Have an valid aadhaar and an active bank account linked with aadhaar
- Only one eligible woman per family can receive benefits
- The applicant and family members should not have a criminal record
