Rohtak, Haryana — In the village of Singhpura Khurd, located near Rohtak, farmers were facing a double disaster. Over 100 acres of land were submerged under deep floodwaters. While the government provided some initial help, they only managed to clear the surface water.
This left nearly 70 acres of farmland trapped under two to four feet of stagnant water. In this article, we’ll walk through how Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj helped the village overcome this tragedy!
The Crisis in Singhpura Khurd
The timing was devastating. The farmers could not harvest their standing rice (paddy) crops, and they were unable to sow their upcoming wheat crops. For a community that depends entirely on agriculture, this meant total financial ruin, mounting debt, and the inability to pay for their children’s school fees or medical expenses.
A Plea for Immediate Help
After years of recurring floods, some villagers noted the problem had persisted for nearly six years, the local residents were exhausted by bureaucratic delays. While government officials spoke of “estimates” and “procedures,” the farmers needed action before the planting window for wheat closed forever.
Turning to their final hope, the villagers sent a plea to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Unlike the slow official channels, the response from the Sant’s followers was immediate. Within days, a relief caravan arrived in the village.

According to the villagers’ specific needs, the following equipment was provided:
- A 10 HP motor set (complete with all electrical accessories).
- 4,500 feet of high-quality delivery pipe.
- All necessary tools, starters, and connectors for a full “A to Z” setup.
The Result: Greenery Returns
The impact was visible within two months. The powerful motor worked day and night to drain the stagnant water that had occupied the fields for years. Today, the landscape has completely changed. Where there was once a “lake” of destruction, there is now 100% successful wheat planting.
Pramod, a local farmer, shared that he had lost his rice crop and only made 10,000 rupees from an entire acre, a massive loss. “If we hadn’t received these pipes and the motor, we wouldn’t have been able to plant anything. We would have been drowned in debt,” he explained.
A Permanent Solution for the Future
The villagers of Singhpura Khurd are not just looking at this season; they are planning for the long term. They have decided to bury the 4,500 feet of pipe permanently underground after the wheat harvest. This will create a lasting drainage system to ensure that floodwaters never paralyze the village again.
The village Numberdar (headman), expressed deep gratitude, noting that for the first time in five or six years, the land is finally productive again. The villagers now view Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as a “messiah” for farmers, providing the kind of rapid, practical support that saved their livelihoods and their children’s futures.
“Society flourishes when the farmer’s hearth is lit.” This initiative has turned a wasteland back into a breadbasket, proving that timely compassion can reverse years of despair.
