BHIWANI, HARYANA — The recent floods in Haryana didn’t just drown fields; they drowned the livelihoods of entire communities. In Mundal Khurd, a village in the Bhiwani district, the situation was especially desperate. With the local administration nowhere to be found, the farmers faced total ruin.
That changed when Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj stepped in. Taking immediate charge, He cleared the catastrophic floodwaters and single-handedly breathed life back into a dying village.
A Community Left to Drown
For months, between 1,200 and 2,000 acres of prime agricultural land lay suffocating under five feet of stagnant, rotting water. The farmers were devastated. Their paddy crops were entirely destroyed, and with the fields still submerged, sowing the upcoming wheat crop seemed impossible.
Ironically, despite Mundal Khurd having familial ties to two former Chief Ministers, the government completely ignored their plight. Officials visited only for photo opportunities, leaving the farmers to watch their ancestral lands turn into swamps.
Seeking a Miracle
Exhausted and out of options, the villagers finally saw a ray of hope. They had noticed the ongoing flood relief campaign in the neighboring village of Dhanana. Inspired by this work, the entire village Panchayat, led by Sarpanch Arshveer Singh Dhol, travelled to Barwala.
They placed an earnest plea before Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. To save their village from total ruin, they asked Him to provide 15,000 feet of pipeline and four heavy-duty motors.
Swift and Decisive Action
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj answered their prayers without a single moment of bureaucratic delay. He immediately conducted a drone survey to accurately measure the extent of the waterlogging across the vast farmlands.
Understanding the urgency of the upcoming sowing season, He swiftly delivered the exact 15,000 feet of pipe and the powerful motors the village requested. Operating the heavy machinery day and night, He successfully expelled the stubborn, months-old floodwater far beyond the village borders.
From Boats to Tractors
The transformation in Mundal Khurd is striking. Fields that were recently trapped under five feet of water, where farmers feared they would need boats just to navigate are now completely dry.
Today, tractors are plowing that very same dirt. Because of His timely intervention, over 1,000 acres have already been successfully sown with wheat, with green shoots now visible. The remaining land is drying quickly for the final phase of planting, turning a 100% loss into a fully restored agricultural season.
Voices from the Fields
The villagers are deeply emotional, recognizing that where the system failed, a true saint stepped in to save their livelihoods.
Sarpanch Arshveer Dhol recalled how defeated the village felt before help arrived. “We were exhausted and defeated by the administration’s apathy,” he shared. “But He proved that a true saint is one who stands with you during a crisis. He saved our honor, and we are deeply grateful to Him.”
Local farmers echoed this sentiment:
- Rakesh (18-acre farmer): Noted that politicians offered no real solutions. “He delivered the pipes directly to us and drained the water. In my 35 years of life, I have never witnessed such a noble, selfless act.”
- Modi (10-acre farmer): Explained that the water had been waist-deep. “He cleared our fields, enabling us to complete 80 to 90 percent of our sowing. To a farmer, land is everything, and He protected our future.”
“When there was no path visible, God, in the form of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, took notice of us.”
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s Annapurna Initiative
For the thousands of residents in Mundal Khurd, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj emerged as a father figure in their darkest hour. When the entire system abandoned them, He pulled the farmers out of certain financial ruin.
Today, the village is filled with gratitude for the selfless, life-saving aid He provided. He did not just drain the floodwaters; He restored their farmlands, protected their livelihoods, and gave them back their hope for tomorrow.
