Khanda village in Sonipat district of Haryana had been facing a severe crisis for several years that had broken the backbone of its farmers. Nearly 400 to 500 acres of agricultural land remained submerged due to waterlogging and floodwater. As a result, farmers were unable to cultivate either paddy or wheat.
When no concrete assistance came from the government system or administration, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj took notice of the situation through Annapurna Muhim and helped the residents of Khanda village, restoring life to their devastated fields.
Extraordinary Support by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj During the Disaster
The situation in Khanda village had become extremely critical, with water accumulation affecting nearly 3,000 to 4,000 acres of land. Crops had already been destroyed, and farmers were facing the threat of hunger. The village panchayat and the sarpanch’s representative made a final appeal for assistance to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. They travelled to Barwala and submitted a written request seeking technical equipment to drain the water.

Through Annapurna Muhim, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj responded immediately. Within just two days, a large convoy of assistance was sent to Khanda village. The convoy included 18,000 feet (about 5,486 metres) of eight inch pipelines and three powerful motors of 15 horsepower capacity.
Along with this, cables, starters, and other necessary technical equipment were also provided so that villagers would not have to bear any financial burden.
Water Drainage from Fields and Wheat Sowing on 500 Acres
The machinery provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj through Annapurna Muhim worked continuously day and night to remove the four to five feet (about 1.2 to 1.5 metres) of water accumulated in the fields. Farmers Vinod and Satish Kumar explained that for the past three to four years they had been struggling to survive and had to purchase grain for food because their own land could not produce crops.

Today, with the assistance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the land has dried and wheat sowing has been successfully completed on nearly 500 acres. Fields that once contained only mud and stagnant foul water are now covered with flourishing green wheat crops.
Villagers Describe Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as Their Protector
The village head and respected members of the community praised this selfless service, stating that the level of support provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was beyond what they even expected from the Chief Minister. A villager named Captain explained that he first learned about this assistance through his nephew Sushil.
Villagers believe that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj protected the honour of the village like a father. Farmers emotionally stated that the one who stands by them during a crisis is the true form of God.
Preparation for a Permanent Solution
To ensure a permanent solution to the waterlogging problem, villagers have decided to permanently bury the 18,000 feet (about 5,486 metres) pipeline provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj underground.
During May and June, the pipeline will be properly installed with outlets so that excess water can be drained quickly in the future during heavy rainfall. This long term planning has also been inspired and supported by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
A Global Example of Selfless Service
The work carried out by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj in Khanda village through Annapurna Muhim stands as a unique example of service to humanity. Without any discrimination or personal interest, He provided equipment and resources worth millions to strengthen the economic condition of farmers.
Today every family and farmer in Khanda village expresses heartfelt gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for this humanitarian effort. Annapurna Muhim is not only helping people overcome hunger but is also bringing new hope into the lives of struggling farmers.
