Waterlogging Had Affected Farming for Several Years

According to villagers, nearly 70% of the village’s agricultural land used to be affected during the rainy season. They said water regularly accumulated in large portions of farmland, damaging both Kharif and Rabi crops. In several locations, water reportedly remained up to 3–4 feet deep due to the absence of a proper drainage system.

Villagers also stated that the waterlogging affected village roads and even the school premises in some areas. Several residents said they had approached different government departments and administrative offices over the years but had not received a permanent solution.

Gram Panchayat Submitted a Prayer Seeking Permanent Relief

The Gram Panchayat informed Tatvdarshi Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj that farmers were suffering repeated crop losses because rainwater could not drain from different parts of the village. Initially, the Panchayat requested approximately 4,000 feet of pipeline and one 10 HP motor to divert accumulated water towards a nearby canal.

Following the prayer, a survey team reached Bhoorawas village under the directions of Tatvadarshi Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji to assess the actual requirement.

Drone Survey and Satellite Mapping Assessed the Situation

The survey team carried out a detailed inspection using drone survey and satellite mapping technology. During the survey, three major waterlogging points were identified, and measurements were taken to determine the required drainage infrastructure.

According to the survey findings shared during the programme, the initially requested 4,000 feet of pipeline would not be sufficient. The assessment recommended approximately 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline along with three 10 HP motors for the proposed drainage system.

After completing the inspection, the survey report was submitted to Tatvdarshi Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji.

Pipeline Material Handed Over to Gram Panchayat

Following approval of the survey report, assistance material reached Bhoorawas village under Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2.

The Gram Panchayat received:

  • 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline
  • Air valves
  • Nuts and bolts
  • Bands
  • Plates
  • Fevicol
  • PVC pipes
  • Other required accessories

During the programme, the survey team explained that the motors would be handed over after the pipeline was laid underground and inspected again. The team also instructed the Panchayat to install the air valves, test the pipeline by releasing water to check for leakage and inform the survey team after the installation was completed.

Villagers Welcomed the Convoy

A large convoy carrying the material reached Bhoorawas village, where villagers gathered with tractors and flower garlands to welcome the team. Devotional songs and a Mangalacharan were organised during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Sarpanch said the village had been approaching different authorities for nearly three years without obtaining a permanent solution. He stated that after meeting Tatvdarshi Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj Ji, the survey team visited the village within a short period and the pipeline material reached soon afterwards.

Several villagers, including farmers and local residents, said they hoped the drainage project would help reduce waterlogging, improve cultivation and benefit both farmers and labourers. Some residents also said the school and village roads had been affected by accumulated rainwater and expected improvement once the drainage work was completed.

During the event, representatives of the survey team requested the Gram Panchayat to complete the underground pipeline work at the earliest so that a follow-up inspection could be conducted before the motors were supplied.

Many villagers expressed gratitude during their interactions and shared their personal views regarding the assistance received. Several residents described the response as timely and said they believed it would bring long-awaited relief to the village.

Survey-Based Assistance Brings Hope for Long-Term Relief

According to the information shared during the programme, the survey, technical assessment and assistance provided under Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2 have given villagers hope that the long-standing waterlogging problem can be addressed through proper drainage infrastructure. Residents said successful implementation of the pipeline system could help improve agricultural activity and reduce recurring losses caused by waterlogging.
