Nearly a Decade of Waterlogging Affected Farming

According to the information shared during the programme, Adhupur Village in Palwal district had been experiencing severe waterlogging for approximately ten years. During the rainy season, water accumulated across several parts of the village, affecting hundreds of acres of agricultural land.

Villagers stated that prolonged waterlogging damaged standing crops and often prevented farmers from sowing their fields on time. They also said that stagnant water affected the surrounding environment and created additional challenges for farming families, with many farmers facing financial difficulties because of repeated crop losses.

Earlier Assistance Reduced Waterlogging in Several Areas

The Gram Panchayat had previously approached Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj seeking assistance for the village’s waterlogging problem. Following that request, the village received 4,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline along with three 15 HP motors.

According to the Panchayat and villagers, the earlier assistance enabled water to be drained from several affected locations. They said many farmers were able to resume cultivation in areas that had remained waterlogged for years. However, some parts of the village still required additional infrastructure for complete drainage.

Gram Panchayat Submitted a Second Request

After observing the results of the first phase, the Gram Panchayat once again approached Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with a fresh request. The Panchayat explained that although the earlier pipeline and motors had provided considerable relief, a permanent solution for the remaining affected locations was still required.

The Panchayat requested:

  • Approximately 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline
  • One 10 HP motor

The objective was to extend the drainage network to the remaining waterlogged agricultural areas.

Survey Team Reached the Village Promptly

According to members of the Gram Panchayat, they travelled to Satlok Ashram Dhanana Dham to submit their prayer before Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. They stated that even before they returned to Adhupur Village, they received information that the survey team had already reached the village.

Villagers described the quick arrival of the survey team as a significant development. Survey officials immediately began assessing the identified locations to verify the actual requirement before any material was approved.

Three Locations Surveyed Using Modern Techniques

The survey covered three separate waterlogged locations within Adhupur Village.

To determine the exact requirement, the team used:

  • Satellite mapping
  • Location-based survey techniques
  • Drone survey
  • Physical inspection

At the first location, approximately 1,550 feet of 8-inch pipeline was found necessary to connect the accumulated water to the drainage channel. The survey also identified the requirement for one 10 HP motor at this point.

The second location required approximately 3,450 feet of pipeline, with the proposed drainage route leading towards the Utawad Rajwaha.

At the third location, approximately 1,700 feet of pipeline was assessed, along with an additional 250 feet to facilitate drainage from a nearby low-lying area.

After compiling the observations from all three locations, the survey team concluded that the Gram Panchayat’s request for approximately 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline and one 10 HP motor was fully justified. A detailed survey report was subsequently prepared and submitted before Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for further directions.

Phase 2 Assistance Approved After Survey Report

After reviewing the survey report, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directed that assistance be provided to Adhupur Village (Palwal), Haryana under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2.

The Gram Panchayat received:

  • 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline
  • One 10 HP motor (approved)
  • Air valves
  • Nuts and bolts
  • Bands
  • Plates
  • Fevicol
  • PVC pipes
  • Rubber and other essential accessories required for pipeline installation

The Panchayat was instructed to first complete the underground installation of the pipeline. After completion, a fresh inspection would be carried out. Once the installation is verified, the approved 10 HP motor will be handed over to the Gram Panchayat.

Total Assistance Received by Adhupur Village

With the latest support, Adhupur Village has now received assistance in two phases.

PhaseAssistance Provided
Phase 14,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline and three 15 HP motors
Phase 27,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline, one 10 HP motor (approved after verification), and related accessories
Total11,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline and four motors

During the programme, representatives stated that the first phase had already helped reduce waterlogging in several parts of the village. They expressed hope that the second phase would address the remaining affected areas and provide further relief to farmers.

Material Handed Over in Presence of Villagers

According to the programme, the assistance material was handed over on 16 June 2026 in the presence of the Gram Panchayat, the Sarpanch and villagers.

Trucks carrying the pipeline material arrived in the village, where the equipment and accessories were handed over to the Gram Panchayat. Representatives confirmed that all approved materials, including pipeline accessories, had been received.

The Panchayat also assured that the pipeline would be laid underground in accordance with the instructions provided. After completing the work, they said they would request another survey so that the installation could be verified before receiving the approved motor.

Villagers Share Their Experience

During the event, several villagers stated that the first phase of assistance had helped reduce waterlogging in many agricultural areas. According to them, land that had previously remained submerged became suitable for cultivation after drainage facilities were installed.

Some farmers said that the recurring waterlogging had affected cultivation for nearly ten years, resulting in repeated crop losses and financial hardship. They expressed the view that the additional pipeline received under Phase 2 would help improve drainage in the remaining affected areas.

Members of the Gram Panchayat also stated that the positive results achieved after the first phase strengthened their confidence in seeking additional assistance for the unresolved locations.

Survey-Based Planning Guided the Assistance

Throughout the programme, emphasis was placed on the survey process carried out before approving the assistance. The assessment combined satellite mapping, drone survey, location-based survey techniques and physical inspection to determine the exact requirement at each identified point.

Based on this assessment, the survey team concluded that the requirement of approximately 7,000 feet of 8-inch pipeline and one 10 HP motor accurately matched the needs of the remaining waterlogged areas. The findings formed the basis of the assistance subsequently provided to the village.

Survey-Led Support Targets Remaining Waterlogged Areas

The developments in Adhupur Village (Palwal), Haryana indicate how survey-based assessment was used to determine the infrastructure required for water drainage in the remaining affected locations. Under the Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided assistance following the survey findings. According to villagers and the Gram Panchayat, the support is expected to strengthen drainage infrastructure and help address the long-standing waterlogging problem affecting agricultural land.
