For nearly four years, Bhatki village in Kaman Tehsil of Rajasthan’s Deeg district remained surrounded by stagnant floodwater, leaving farmland submerged, livestock affected, and several families forced to migrate in search of work. Villagers said repeated appeals to administrative authorities brought little relief. The situation changed after the Gram Panchayat approached the committee of Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with a request for assistance. Within days, large-scale flood relief material, including pipelines, pumps, generators, and diesel support, reached the village under His Annapurna Muhim.

Key Takeaways: Bhatki Flood Relief Operation
- Bhatki village in Kaman Tehsil, Deeg district, Rajasthan faced severe waterlogging for nearly four years.
- Thousands of bighas of fertile land, public areas, and village infrastructure remained submerged.
- Around 15–20% of villagers reportedly migrated for labour work.
- Gram Panchayat approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj seeking flood relief assistance.
- Under the Annapurna Muhim, the village received:
- 1100 feet of 8-inch pipeline
- Two 20 HP motors
- Two generators
- Diesel support
- Operational accessories and fittings
- Villagers said they were not required to spend money on installation materials.
- Relief work was also reported in nearby villages including Hachwada, Patwari, and Lohagarh.
Four Years of Waterlogging Left Bhatki Village Struggling
Residents of Bhatki village described the situation as similar to an isolated island. According to villagers, the village cremation ground, water house, schools, agricultural land, and residential areas remained surrounded by dirty stagnant water for years.
Farmers said that despite having fertile land, they were forced to purchase grain from markets to feed their families and buy fodder for livestock because cultivation had stopped across large areas.
Villagers also reported multiple hardships caused by continuous flooding:
| Reported Impact | Details Shared by Villagers |
| Agricultural loss | Thousands of bighas remained submerged |
| Livestock crisis | Fodder shortage forced many to sell animals |
| Migration | Around 15–20% population migrated |
| Education affected | Children could not attend school |
| Health facilities | Dispensary reportedly remained closed |
| Waterlogging duration | Approximately 3–4 years |
Several residents said they repeatedly approached MLAs, ministers, collectors, and other officials seeking intervention, but claimed that no permanent solution was provided.
Request Placed Before Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
According to the Gram Panchayat, villagers later learned about flood-relief work being carried out in neighbouring Hachwada village under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Following this, representatives from Bhatki village travelled to Dhanana Ashram in Sonipat district and submitted their request.
The Panchayat informed followers of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj that the village urgently required:
- Two 20 HP motors
- 1100 feet of pipeline
- Generators
- Diesel support
Villagers stated that the request was accepted quickly and that the material reached the village within a few days.
Relief Material Reached Village With Full Operational Support
The flood-relief convoy later arrived in Bhatki village carrying the required equipment. Before handing over the material, followers of Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj gathered outside the village, performed Mangalacharan, and recited Guru Vani prayers.

The support extended far beyond just major equipment. At a single instruction from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, His disciples arranged everything required to make the system operational, including starters, cables, elbows, suction pipes, rubber gaskets, adhesives like Fevicol and SR-998, along with steel nuts and bolts. Villagers themselves stated that they “did not have to purchase even a single nut from the market” to make the system functional.
The material supplied reportedly included:
| Relief Material | Quantity |
| 8-inch pipeline | 1100 feet |
| Water motors | Two 20 HP motors |
| Generators | Two |
| Diesel support | Provided by followers |
| Additional fittings | Included free of cost |
Villagers stated that diesel expenses would continue to be covered until the water was fully removed.
Electricity Problems Led to Additional Generator Support
Residents explained that the village receives only single-phase electricity, while the 20 HP motors require three-phase power supply. Because of this issue, additional generators were reportedly arranged under the Annapurna Muhim so that the pumps could operate continuously.
Followers accompanying the relief convoy said that even the cost of generator rent and diesel had been covered so villagers would not face financial burden during the water-removal process.
Villagers Expect Cultivation to Resume Soon
Many villagers expressed hope that the standing water could now be removed within 10 to 20 days, allowing cultivation and wheat sowing to resume.
Residents repeatedly described the relief effort as a turning point for the village. Some stated that migration could stop if farming activities restarted successfully. Others said that families who had left in search of labour work may now remain in the village.
A villager said the situation had become so severe that children and livestock were suffering because agriculture was the primary source of livelihood in the area.
The Panchayat also stated that committees would be formed to maintain the equipment properly so it could continue serving the village during future monsoon periods.
Annapurna Muhim and Ongoing Flood Relief Work
Followers of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj stated that flood-relief work under the Annapurna Muhim has already reached more than 400 villages. They also claimed that similar assistance had previously been provided in nearby villages such as Ainchwada, Patwari, and Lohagarh.
According to statements made during the event, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj instructed His disciples to prioritise assistance for flood-affected farmers and villages. Followers further stated that construction-related activities at ashrams were temporarily paused so resources could be directed toward relief work.
Relief Effort Becomes Symbol of Hope for Villagers
As the relief material was formally handed over to the Gram Panchayat, many villagers described the development as a major moment of relief after years of uncertainty. Residents said they now expect agricultural activity to return gradually once the stagnant water is removed.
Villagers also stated that the support restored confidence among families who had been facing economic losses, migration, and disruption to daily life for several years due to flooding.
