On the battlefield, timing is everything. For the village of Soldha in Bahadurgarh Tehsil, the battle was against rising floodwaters that had reached a depth of four feet. While government aid was described as “a drop in the ocean,” the village found its ultimate strategic partner in Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
The Crisis of the ‘Water Burial’
Soldha was facing a catastrophe never seen in the living memory of its residents. Sarpanch representative Pradip Kajla, who served the nation for 8 years in the paramilitary, noted that the water was not just falling from the sky but rising from the ground too.
The Damage: Thousands of acres were submerged, making the next sowing season look impossible.
The Gap: The administration provided a few pipes, but they were nowhere near enough to tackle the millions of tons of stagnant water.
A Request Without Recommendations
When the youth of the village decided to petition Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, they were unsure of the process. To their surprise, no VIP recommendations or complex files were needed. Within just 24 to 48 hours of their visit to Barwala, a massive relief convoy was at the village doorstep.
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj dispatched:
- 10,000 feet of 8-inch pipes.
- 3 Heavy-duty Motors: (Two 15 HP and one 10 HP).
- Complete Hardware: Even the smallest nuts, bolts, starters, and cables were included to ensure immediate operation.
The “Forever Gift”
The volunteers of the trust made a significant announcement: the machinery and pipes were now the permanent property of the village. The Sarpanch was urged to bury the pipes underground so that Soldha would be flood-free forever.
“The Sant has drone-mapped your village,” the volunteers told the residents. “We want to see three stages: the flood, the drainage, and finally, the crops on our projectors.”
A Soldier’s Perspective
Pradip Kajla, an ex-soldier, was moved by the discipline and transparency of the mission. “In the army, we value weapons that work in a crisis. Today, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has acted as a ‘Farishta’ (Angel). Even a mother doesn’t feed a child without a cry, but He understood our pain and sent relief worth lakhs instantly.”
Victory of Humanity
The arrival of the materials was celebrated like a festival. Tractors were decorated, and flowers were showered on the convoy. For the 36 communities of Soldha, this wasn’t just equipment; it was the return of their dignity and the security of their children’s future.
