The Flood Catastrophe: Farmer Crisis in Jamalpur, Bhiwani
Jamalpur village, which falls under the Bawani Khera block, was one of the areas most affected by the unprecedented floods in Haryana this year. Due to continuous and heavy waterlogging during the monsoon, a vast, lake-like situation had developed around the village.
Loss of Land and Livelihood
- Massive Waterlogging: A total of 1500 acres of the village’s agricultural land was submerged.
- Livelihood Crisis: Major crops like cotton, millet (bajra), and paddy were completely spoiled. Farmers suffered a total loss of their labour and investment.
- Future Worry: Due to the inability to drain the water, farmers were running out of time to sow the next crop, Rabi. This situation was not just a seasonal loss but could lead to starvation for many families.
- Fodder Crisis: Waterlogged fields also led to a severe shortage of fodder for livestock, delivering a double blow to the rural economy.
A Ray of Hope from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
When farmers did not receive any concrete and quick solution from the local administration and political leadership, Sarpanch Bhup Singh, along with the entire village Panchayat, decided to seek help from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.

Plea at Office of Satlok Ashram, Barwala
The Gram Panchayat collectively visited the office of Satlok Ashram in Barwala and submitted a prayer letter to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. This letter described the village’s crisis and specifically requested the following equipment:
- Motors: Two (2) powerful 20 Horse Power (HP) motors for quick water drainage.
- Pipeline: An 8-inch pipeline, 8800 feet long, to cover the long distance required for drainage.
The Panchayat expressed full faith that only Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj could rescue them from this crisis.
Immediate and Massive Relief Effort
This incident serves as proof that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s service work is not for public display but for delivering relief to the needy at the grassroots level.
- Swift Action: Within a few days of submitting the prayer letter, a huge convoy of relief material reached Jamalpur village.
- Full Distribution of Material: All the materials requested by the Panchayat-8800 feet of pipe and two 20 HP motors-were made available in the village.
- Comprehensive Kit: Along with the motors and pipes, starters, cables, and even minor items needed to join the pipeline (like Fevicol, bands, and clamps) were provided so that the villagers would face no inconvenience.
According to the villagers, this material was nothing short of a miracle, as receiving such a large amount of relief so quickly was unprecedented.

The Spirit of Philanthropy: Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s Sensitive Approach
The most unique feature of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s flood relief campaign is that it is not merely a donation of money or material but the philanthropic vision of a true Saint.

Sensitivity from a Farming Background
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Himself comes from a farmer’s family, which is why He deeply understands the pain of the farmers. His service work is not limited to any one state or region; assistance has been provided to flood-affected areas across India, including Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh.
Request, Instructions, and Permanent Solution
While handing over the relief material, the volunteers delivered a special message from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj to the Panchayat. This letter reflects His sensitivity and foresight:
- Timely Drainage: Guruji strictly instructed that no matter how much material is required, draining the water on time is mandatory so that the next crop can be sown. If the water is not drained, the fault will lie with the villagers.
- Permanent Gift: The provided pipeline and motors were given as a permanent gift to Jamalpur village. The villagers were advised to bury them in their land so that whenever floods occur in the future, they can immediately drain the water, leading to a permanent solution for the village’s flood problem.
- Public Trust: Guruji stated that three separate videos would be made-before the relief work (water logged), after (water drained), and when the crop is flourishing. These videos would be shown in spiritual assemblies to assure the devotees that their donations are not misused and to inspire them for social service.
