Under this initiative, not only were equipment worth lakhs of rupees provided free of cost to rescue the village from floodwater, but it was also ensured that the relief work was completed swiftly and effectively.
The Devastation of Floods and Villagers’ Helplessness
This crisis was unexpected for Sarsaud village. Continuous torrential rains transformed the village streets and fields into rivers. Paddy and cotton crops standing in thousands of acres were completely submerged, washing away the farmers’ year-long hard work. Approximately 400-500 houses in the village were surrounded by water, and many families were forced to leave their homes. In one lane alone, 200-250 houses were affected by water.
For the past 18 days, waterlogging persisted in the village, creating an atmosphere of despair and frustration among villagers. The problem of drinking water, food, and fodder for livestock had assumed alarming proportions. During this difficult time, the village panchayat and residents were trying every possible means for help, but their efforts were proving insufficient against the severity of the problem.

In this dire situation, Sarsaud village’s Sarpanch representative Shri Pradeep Ji saw a new ray of hope. He learned through someone that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s organization provides selfless help during such disasters. Pradeep Ji had previously seen motors installed by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s followers operating in Bana Khera village.
With this hope, Sarsaud’s Gram Panchayat prepared a written appeal letter and reached the office of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj located in Barwala, Hisar. They expressed their suffering and demanded the necessary equipment to free the village from waterlogging.

Remarkably, action commenced within just 12 hours of the villagers’ appeal, which was far faster than any governmental or non-governmental organization’s response.
Unprecedented Assistance: Equipment Worth Lakhs and a Dedicated Team
Following Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s orders, His team started working at war footing. According to the Gram Panchayat’s demand, a large convoy carrying four large 20-horsepower motor pump sets, 3500 feet long 8-inch pipes, 400 feet cable wire, and other necessary materials was dispatched to Sarsaud village. This assistance included a total of 117 pipes, each 30 feet long.
The entire material was worth lakhs of rupees, but it was all provided completely free of cost to the village. To ensure swift delivery of equipment, the team directly contacted Vardhman Factory in Uklana and arranged to send the material as soon as possible.

When vehicles loaded with relief material arrived in the village, the enthusiasm of Sarsaud village residents was worth witnessing. Sarpanch representative Shri Pradeep Ji, Sarpanch Smt. Sunita Ji, and the entire Gram Panchayat along with hundreds of villagers gathered to welcome this team. Their eyes had tears of gratitude.
Villagers profusely praised Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and his team. A villager named Rajveer Ji said that he had never even imagined such swift and substantial help. Another victim, Balmiki Ji, sharing his suffering, said that the help Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj sent after understanding their pain would never be forgotten in their lifetime. Villagers unanimously believed that such immediate assistance could neither be provided by any government nor by any other organization.
A Unique Commitment Letter
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj not only provided materials but also ensured their proper and effective use. The team, on behalf of Sant Rampal Ji, presented a commitment letter before the village panchayat. This letter clearly stated that villagers would fully cooperate in this relief work, and if water drainage was not possible due to their negligence and the next crop sowing was not feasible, the organization would not provide assistance again in the future.
