UGC-NET 2026 Admit Card Out: On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released the admit card for the University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) examination scheduled to be conducted on 22, 23, 24, 25, 29 and 30 June 2026.

To avoid last minute delays, the aspiring candidates are advised to download and verify their admit cards before appearing for the examination from the official website i.e, ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

National Testing Agency: Brief Introduction

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an autonomous body designed by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) to validate the eligibility of the candidates for ‘Award of Junior Research Fellowship’, ‘Appointment as Assistant Professor’. ‘Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D’ and ‘Admission to Ph.D only’ in the recognised Indian Colleges and Universities. 

With effect from December 2018 onwards, the UGC-NET examination is being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode across India.

UGC-NET June 2026 Admit Card: Steps to Download

To easily download their Admit card, the candidates are required to follow the simple steps as listed below:

  • Go to the official UGC-NET website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
  • In the “Latest News” tab, click on the ‘Release of Admit Card for the UGC-NET June 2026 examination’ link as shown in the below snapshot.

  • Then, click on the red highlighted link as snapshotted below.

  • A new page will open, enter your Application Number, Password, and Security Pin.

  • Click on Submit.
  • The admit card will be displayed on your screen.
  • Download the PDF copy and take out the print out for exam day.

UGC-NET June 2026: Exam Pattern

The UGC-NET June 2026 examination will be held in two shifts:

  • Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6: 00 PM

The examination will comprise of two papers:

  • Paper 1: 50 Questions of 100 Marks (Teaching and Research Aptitude)
  • Paper 2: 100 Questions of 200 Marks (Subject specific paper based on the selected subject)
