Koyalpur village in the Matanhail tehsil of Jhajjar district, Haryana, was recently facing a deluge-like situation. The flood was so severe that water several feet deep had entered fields, homes, government schools, and hospitals. The crops, raised with the hard work and sweat of the farmers, were destroyed, and due to the standing water, the sowing of the next crop seemed impossible. After wearing out their shoes running to government offices and receiving nothing but disappointment from the administration, the village knocked on a door about which it is said, “When the Almighty gives, He showers blessings beyond measure.” This is the story of faith that changed the destiny of an entire village in just 4 days.

Villagers were left to their own fate!
According to Sarpanch Jitendra Kumar and other villagers, a large part of the village and hundreds of acres of fertile land were submerged. When the SA NEWS team viewed the scene from above via drone, the village truly looked like a reservoir. Water was everywhere, from the fields to the residential areas. In such a dire situation, officials clearly stated that it was not possible to drain the water with current resources. The villagers were left to their own fate. Having no alternative other than the administration, the common people became deeply despondent. After exhausting all efforts, they lost hope.
In this atmosphere of despair, the village learned about the ‘Free Service’ provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
In just four days, the very thing they needed most arrived!
The villagers submitted a petition to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. In this petition, they described their problem and requested 2 motors and 5000 feet of pipe as help. Usually, government files take months to move, but here, within just 4 days of the petition, a massive convoy of relief materials arrived in the streets of Koyalpur. The volunteers shared that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj had given a strict order that the farmers’ next crop (wheat) must not be ruined due to delay.
Following His command, the disciples of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj reached the village with relief materials. They also conveyed the assurance from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj that if any additional items were needed, they should ask without hesitation, and the materials would be provided immediately—but the next crop must be sown.
What materials were included in the relief aid?
The assistance provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was technically complete:
| Item Description | Quantity | Features |
| Giant Motors | 2 | 15 HP high-capacity motors |
| Pipes | 5000 Feet | 8-inch thick heavy-duty line |
| Accessories | Full Set | Starters, bends, nuts-bolts, cables, and other equipment |
| Cost to Villagers | ₹0 | All expenses borne by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj |
The Sarpanch remarked in astonishment, “Not a single rupee of ours was spent. His Holiness brought materials worth lakhs right to our doorstep.”
Materials handed over after performing Manglacharan
Before entering the village, the volunteers performed Manglacharan (auspicious prayer) near the school. It is their tradition to praise the Almighty before any auspicious work or public service. Following this, all materials were respectfully handed over to the Village Panchayat. On this occasion, the villagers shared their thoughts. Everyone was singing praises of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. The village also conferred its highest honor upon Him by presenting a traditional turban (Pagri).
The villagers addressed Him as God. Speaking to the media, many farmers and women expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, repeatedly emphasizing that He helped them at a time when even the government had failed.
True well-wishers are revealed in time of need
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has proven that He is a true well-wisher of the farmers. The farmers are His own, the poor laboring families are His own; in fact, by providing the true spiritual knowledge of the scriptures to all of humanity, He has proven that He possesses the true spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is One Family). The entire world is like a family to Him. Just as all living beings on earth are equal to the Almighty, similarly, all souls are equal to the Satguru.
It is impossible to weave the greatness and generosity of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj into words. However, the emotions of the Koyalpur villagers are enough to understand it.
Building the future and a ‘Stern Warning’
This initiative is not limited only to draining today’s floodwater. The volunteers clarified that these motors and pipes are now the permanent property of the village. In the future, whenever there is excessive rain, the villagers can immediately drain the water. However, a responsibility was also given:
- Drone Monitoring: Volunteers have taken drone footage of the waterlogging before the relief.
- Condition: If the water is not drained within the stipulated time and the crop is not sown, no further assistance will be provided in the future.
- Transparency: A video will also be made after the crops flourish so that the congregation (Sangat) knows how many families received a ‘lease of life’ through their donated funds.
Villagers’ Reaction: “An Atmosphere like Diwali”
Great enthusiasm was seen among the elders and youth of the village. A villager named Rakesh Kumar said emotionally, “The government did not take care of us, but His Holiness made arrangements like a wedding. It feels as if God Himself has come to take away our troubles.” Expressing their gratitude, a turban was presented in the name of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, which is considered the highest honor in Haryanvi culture.
Service continues in more than 300 villages
Koyalpur is not the only such village. Under the Annapurna Initiative, relief materials worth crores of rupees have been distributed in more than 300 flood-affected villages so far. This initiative shows that if spiritual organizations come forward selflessly, no individual in society will ever feel helpless.
