The Panghal village in Barwala Tehsil of Hisar district, Haryana, recently witnessed one of the worst floods in years. Nearly 40 percent of the village was submerged, affecting homes, farmlands, schools, and health facilities. Crops were destroyed, livestock were stranded, and basic services came to a halt. With little to no government assistance arriving in time, the villagers faced a severe humanitarian crisis.
Amid this despair, the Gram Panchayat of Panghal wrote a letter to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj through Munindra Dharmarth Trust, Kurukshetra, in Barwala Hisar appealing for help. The letter, addressed to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, requested high-capacity motors, pipelines, and essential equipment to pump out the stagnant water.
Swift Response and Massive Relief Operation
As soon as the appeal reached the ashram, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj instructed His followers to take immediate action. Within just three days, multiple trucks and tractors loaded with relief materials reached Panghal village.

The relief consignment included:
- Six heavy-duty 20 HP motors
- Approximately 12,000 feet of pipelines
- Starter sets, suction units, and connection kits
- Electrical cables and necessary installation materials
The estimated value of the material supplied was around ₹20–22 lakh. The equipment was formally handed over to the Gram Panchayat for coordinated use in the flood relief work.
Relief Work and Visible Transformation
With the arrival of the equipment, the Panchayat and the volunteers from the Sant Rampal Ji Mission began the dewatering operations. Motors were installed at key points, including the school premises, the primary health center, and the low-lying residential areas like Kabir Colony.
Within a few days, water levels began to recede, and villagers witnessed a visible change. Life slowly started returning to normal.
An elderly villager shared, “A few days ago, there was only water and hopelessness here. Today, we see progress and relief. This help reached us faster than any government assistance.”
Faith and Gratitude Among Villagers
The prompt arrival of relief material brought a sense of celebration and gratitude among the villagers. For many, it was not just material aid, but a sign of compassion and care during the toughest time.

Sarpanch Representative Monu Panghal said, “When no one else came forward, this support gave us hope. Receiving such large-scale assistance within three days felt nothing short of a miracle.”

Farmer Ramesh Panghal said, “A single 20 HP motor costs over a lakh rupees. Getting six of them, along with pipelines and equipment, was beyond our reach. This help saved our farms and our livelihoods.”
A Message of Humanity and Service
The Panghal village relief operation is not an isolated effort. Under the guidance of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, similar relief projects have been initiated in other flood-affected villages such as Gurana, Badawar, and Dhani Khan Bahadur.
Volunteers from the mission emphasized the guiding principle of their service:
“Serving humanity in times of crisis is the truest form of worship. When people suffer, help must come without discrimination.”
Inspiring Model for Community Service
The efforts in Panghal have inspired nearby villages to strengthen their community-level disaster preparedness. With schools reopening and the Panchayat building being repaired, the village is gradually restoring normal life. The relief work has left behind a lasting message of unity and compassion.
Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Transformed the Despair of Panghal Village
The flood relief mission led by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj transformed the despair of Panghal village into hope and resilience. Where government systems struggled, a community-driven initiative showed how faith, service, and collective action can overcome any adversity. The people of Panghal now describe the event as more than a relief operation they call it “a revival of humanity.”
