Annapurna Muhim by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj: A Lifesaver for Farmers of Kamach Khera Village

Jind (Haryana): When natural disasters push governance and administration to their limits, the humane face of spiritual institutions often emerges as a lifeline for society. A similar scene was witnessed recently in Kamach Khera village, under Julana tehsil of Jind district in Haryana. Through Annapurna Muhim led by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the flood-affected village received relief materials worth several crores of rupees (tens of millions). For farmers standing on the brink of hunger after months of waterlogged fields, this support proved not merely financial assistance but the beginning of a renewed life.

Kamach Khera Struggling with Waterlogging: Crops Destroyed Across 250 Acres

Kamach Khera village had been grappling with severe waterlogging for several months. According to local residents, around 200 to 250 acres of agricultural land were submerged under two to two and a half feet of water (approximately 0.6 to 0.76 metres). The situation was so grim that the standing paddy crop completely rotted and was destroyed.

Farmers who expected yields of 50 to 55 quintals per acre managed to harvest only 10 to 15 quintals. There appeared to be no possibility of sowing the next crop, especially wheat, as there was no means available to drain the water from the fields. Village elders stated that had a timely solution not emerged, the village would have faced a situation of hunger and economic collapse.

Disappointment with the Government and an Appeal at the Sant’s Court

Villagers shared that they repeatedly approached the government machinery to overcome the crisis, but no concrete solution was provided. Eventually, the village panchayat and respected community members submitted an appeal to the Satlok Ashram of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as a final hope.

Taking immediate cognisance of the villagers’ plea, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj approved assistance through His legal team and volunteer committees. Without delay, a large convoy of relief material was dispatched to the village, which the residents welcomed emotionally with drums and floral showers.

Life-Saving Relief Materials: 15,000 Feet of Pipes and Powerful Motors

The assistance provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was extensive and technologically advanced. For draining water from the village fields, 15,000 feet (4,572 metres) of 8-inch pipes and two large 15 HP electric motors were supplied. In addition, starters, suction units and other essential technical equipment were also provided.

Volunteers clarified that this material was not meant for temporary use but was gifted to the village as a “Dada-Lai”, a permanent community asset. In future instances of heavy rainfall, villagers can reuse these pipes and motors for drainage. All the material was provided entirely free of cost, solely with the intention of humanitarian service.

Firm Instructions: Crop Sowing Mandatory, Public Display Prohibited

Along with handing over the relief material, a special message from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was read out. Villagers were asked to commit themselves to working hard to drain the fields within the stipulated time and to ensure the sowing of the upcoming wheat crop. Sant Ji made it clear that if sowing did not take place despite the provided resources, it would be considered negligence on the part of the villagers. The institution has conducted drone photography of the village’s current condition and plans to record videos again once the crops flourish. This transparency has been adopted to ensure that donors remain confident that their contributions are being utilised in the service of humanity.

Social Awareness and Spiritual Responsibility

On this occasion, followers of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj also held up a mirror to other sections of society and religious narrators. They remarked that those who collect large sums of money in the name of religion should come forward to help farmers during such disasters. Farmers are the providers of food for society; only when farmers prosper can labourers and other sections sustain themselves. At present, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has already extended similar services to more than 400 flood-affected villages across Haryana and several other states. Annapurna Muhim is not limited to water drainage alone but also prioritises education and healthcare for children of affected families.

Resolve and Unshakeable Faith of the Villagers

After receiving the assistance, a new glow was visible on the faces of Kamach Khera’s residents. One villager proudly stated before the camera, “We will drain the water, sow wheat, and then invite Maharaj Ji to witness the standing crop.” Farmers referred to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as the “Messiah of farmers” and even as “God incarnate”.

Villagers believe that at a time when no one stood with them, Sant Ji protected their dignity and livelihoods by sending equipment worth crores (tens of millions). This incident demonstrates that selfless service and true humanity are the real essence of religion.
