To address the situation, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided 4,200 feet of eight-inch PVC pipeline, two 10-HP electric motors and a complete set of supporting drainage accessories under the Kisan-Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2.

Heavy Rainfall Leaves Agricultural Land Waterlogged

Badesra has reportedly faced serious waterlogging following heavy rainfall. Local representatives stated that approximately 1,500 to 2,000 acres of agricultural land were submerged.

Around 1,500 acres of standing crops were reportedly affected by the accumulated water. Prolonged waterlogging can make agricultural operations difficult, particularly when farmers need to prepare fields for the next crop cycle.

The current situation reportedly occurred in another section of the village after Badesra had previously experienced similar waterlogging problems.

Previous Drainage Assistance to Badesra

According to the information provided by local representatives, Badesra had previously experienced severe water accumulation following heavy rainfall.

During that earlier situation, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided five electric motors and 12,000 feet of pipeline through the Annapurna Muhim. The equipment was reportedly used to drain accumulated water from the affected area.

With heavy rainfall again creating waterlogging in another part of the village, farmers and Panchayat representatives approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for additional assistance.

Village Panchayat Appeals to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj

Sarpanch Bhup Singh and other representatives of the Badesra village Panchayat reportedly approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj seeking urgent assistance for water drainage.

The Panchayat initially requested four electric motors and 5,000 feet of pipeline to remove accumulated water from the affected agricultural areas.

After receiving the request, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj ordered a specialized survey team to visit Badesra and assess the actual requirements.

Ground Survey Determines Technical Requirements

The survey team conducted a ground inspection of the waterlogged agricultural fields and assessed the route required for evacuating the accumulated water. Following the technical assessment, the relief requirement was determined to include 4,200 feet of eight-inch PVC pipeline and two 10-HP electric motors.

The survey findings were subsequently presented to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, who approved the required material under the Kisan-Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2. According to the supplied information, the complete relief material reached Badesra within approximately 48 hours of the Panchayat’s formal request.

Complete Drainage Equipment Supplied

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided the Badesra Gram Panchayat with the main drainage equipment as well as the accessories required for installation. The primary material consisted of 4,200 feet of eight-inch PVC pipeline and two 10-HP electric motors.

The supporting equipment included branded starters manufactured by L&T (Larsen & Toubro), electric connection wires and 20-foot PVC suction pipes, locally referred to as sundiyan. The package also included PVC bends, iron bends, reducers, solvent or adhesive, air valves, Jain clips, PVC and iron plates, steel nuts and bolts and flanges.

According to the Gram Panchayat, the supplied package was comprehensive and meant that villagers did not need to purchase additional small or large accessories from outside for the proposed drainage setup.

Relief Convoy Welcomed by Villagers

A convoy carrying the relief material reportedly arrived in Badesra accompanied by invocatory chants. Sarpanch Bhup Singh and local residents welcomed the service volunteers associated with Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj with flower garlands. The materials were subsequently handed over to the village Panchayat.

According to Sarpanch Bhup Singh’s statement, the Panchayat had approached Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for assistance and received the required equipment without a reported shortfall within approximately 48 hours.

Residents Share Their Experiences

Local residents, including senior citizens, reportedly discussed the difficulties they had experienced while seeking solutions through official channels.

Some residents stated that government procedures can require repeated visits to different offices, while assistance from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was delivered without the delays they said they had experienced elsewhere.

Some villagers also compared Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s work for farmers with that of Sir Chhotu Ram, a historical figure associated with farmers’ issues in the region. This comparison represents the views expressed by those residents.

Drainage System Intended to Protect Agricultural Land

The supplied drainage equipment is intended to facilitate the removal of accumulated rainwater from the affected agricultural fields. The 4,200-foot pipeline, together with the two 10-HP motors, is designed to provide a mechanism for pumping water away from waterlogged areas.

According to the project information, timely drainage is intended to protect standing crops from prolonged submersion and help farmers prepare their fields for the subsequent sowing season.

If the drainage system operates effectively, drying the affected fields could help restore agricultural activity and reduce the disruption caused by excessive rainfall.

Potential Impact on Farmers and Rural Livelihoods

The waterlogging has reportedly affected not only farmers but also other sections of the rural economy that depend on agricultural activity.

Farmers rely on timely crop cycles for household income, while agricultural laborers depend on farming operations for employment. Livestock rearers can also be affected when crop damage reduces the availability of agricultural residues and fodder.

The drainage initiative is therefore intended to restore access to agricultural land and reduce the period for which fields remain submerged.

Free Agricultural Assistance Scheme

Information regarding other welfare initiatives associated with Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was also shared during the relief-material handover.

Under the stated free fertilizer, seed and agricultural medicine scheme, small and needy farmers with up to 2.5 acres of land are offered agricultural inputs. According to the supplied information, verification involves Aadhaar, biometric thumb authentication and registration details associated with the Meri Fasal Mera Byora system. The helpline numbers provided for information regarding the scheme are 9992600931 and 9992600932.

Annapurna Muhim and Humanitarian Initiatives

The Annapurna Mujim is described as another welfare initiative associated with Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. According to the supplied information, needy families receive assistance that may include one-month ration kits, cooking gas cylinders, kitchen supplies, educational expenses for children and medical treatment expenses.

His other stated initiatives include the Shuddh Peyjal Seva Abhiyan and Pashudhan Bachao Shuddh Jal Pilao Abhiyan, through which relief and water-related assistance have reportedly been provided in Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan.

Badesra Moves Toward Waterlogging Relief

With the delivery of 4,200 feet of eight-inch PVC pipeline, two 10-HP motors and associated equipment, Badesra has received the infrastructure identified through the technical survey.

The project is intended to remove accumulated water from affected agricultural areas, protect standing crops and help farmers prepare their fields for the next sowing season.

According to the information provided by the village Panchayat and residents, the rapid delivery followed their request for assistance and built upon drainage support previously provided to Badesra.
