NEET MDS 2024 Exam Overview
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS) 2024, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), took place on March 18, 2024. The results were declared on April 3, 2024, with the scorecards available for download from April 15, 2024. The counselling process, managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), will start on July 1, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution.
- Internship: Completion of a one-year mandatory rotatory internship by June 2024.
- Registration: Provisional or permanent registration with the DCI or State Dental Council.
- Age Requirement: Minimum 20 years old.
Exam Pattern
- Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Duration: 3 hours
- Questions: 240 multiple-choice questions
- Syllabus: Topics from the BDS curriculum including General Anatomy, Dental Materials, General Medicine, General Surgery, and several clinical subjects.
- Marking Scheme: 4 marks for each correct answer, 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Language: English
Counselling Process The NEET MDS 2024 counseling will be conducted online and includes four rounds:
- Round 1: Registration (July 1-7, 2024), Choice Filling and Locking (July 2-7, 2024), Seat Allotment Result (July 10, 2024), Institute Reporting (July 11-17, 2024).
- Round 2: Registration (July 22-28, 2024), Choice Filling and Locking (July 23-28, 2024), Seat Allotment Result (July 31, 2024), Institute Reporting (August 1-7, 2024).
- Round 3: Registration (August 12-18, 2024), Choice Filling and Locking (August 13-18, 2024), Seat Allotment Result (August 21, 2024), Institute Reporting (August 22-28, 2024).
- Online Stray Vacancy Round: Registration (September 2-4, 2024), Choice Filling and Locking (September 2-5, 2024), Seat Allotment Result (September 7, 2024), Institute Reporting (September 9-14, 2024).

Result and Cutoff The NEET MDS 2024 cutoff is:
- General/EWS: 50th percentile (263 marks)
- SC/ST/OBC (Including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th percentile (230 marks)
- General PwBD: 45th percentile (346 marks)
