On the sacred land of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh—home to spiritual places like Govardhan and Barsana—a very different story had been unfolding in the small village of Lathakuri for the past two years. It was not a story of celebrations, but one of struggle, despair, and ultimately hope.

Lathakuri village and the surrounding areas under the Magorra Gram Panchayat in Govardhan tehsil had been facing severe waterlogging for a long time. Nearly 500 to 700 bighas of fertile land had remained submerged in water for two years. Crops could no longer grow in the fields, roads were blocked, and for many families even daily life had become a struggle.
Villagers had to pass through waist-deep dirty water just to reach banks, schools, hospitals, or police stations. Crops had been destroyed, fodder for livestock had disappeared, and farmers stood helplessly in their own fields.
The villagers appealed to authorities and public representatives for help, but no solution appeared in sight. At such a time, the villagers chose another path—they submitted a request for help in the court of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj. What happened afterward, villagers say, was nothing short of a miracle.
Two Years of Submerged Fields and Broken Hopes
In Lathakuri and nearby villages, the waterlogging problem had become so severe that people almost forgot what farming felt like. Retired Air Force Warrant Officer Dinesh Singh explained that the economic condition of the village had been badly affected over the past two years.
He said emotionally:
“We knocked on every door—from the administration to political leaders. People came, took photos, and left. But the problem remained the same. Farmers had become strangers on their own land.”
Because the fields were filled with water, agriculture had completely stopped. Financial difficulties began to deepen in many households. Children’s education was affected, and the village’s social life had almost come to a standstill.
Another villager, Sagar Singh, said:
“For two to three years we couldn’t even sow crops in the fields. Even if someone tried, the crops were ruined by water. It felt like farming might never be possible again.”
This situation was not only an economic crisis but also shattered the confidence of the villagers.
When the Path of Hope Reached Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj
Some villagers suggested contacting the followers of Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj, because Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj had helped farmers in several parts of the country. The villagers expected that maybe some response would come after a few days or weeks.
But the sequence of events turned out to be very different. According to villagers, a decision was taken within a single day after the request, and on the third day a full convoy of assistance departed for the village.
When a long line of vehicles carrying relief equipment entered the streets of Lathakuri village, the sight seemed unbelievable to the villagers. Representatives of the Gram Panchayat said: “We thought it might take months, but we never imagined help would arrive so quickly.”

The assistance provided to the village by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj was not symbolic—it was a practical and long-term solution to the waterlogging problem.
The Gram Panchayat received the following materials:

- Approximately 1,150 feet of strong 8-inch pipeline
- A powerful 15-horsepower motor
- Branded starter system
- About 100 feet of copper cable
- Additional wires to connect the motor
- Flexible pipes and assembly equipment
- Steel nuts, bolts, and fittings
This entire system was designed to pump water out of the village fields and drain it outside. A special aspect was that the Gram Panchayat did not have to spend even a single rupee for this arrangement. All the equipment was from branded companies so it could be used for a long time.
Historic Welcome in the Village
When the relief materials arrived, the entire atmosphere in the village turned festive. Villagers and members of the Gram Panchayat expressed gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj by offering garlands and flowers to His revered form. Village elders, women, and youth all participated in the gathering.
Village head Vijay Singh said- “On behalf of the entire Gram Panchayat, we thank Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj and His team. For two years our lands had been submerged in water. You understood our helplessness and sent a solution.”
He also expressed hope that such cooperation would continue in the future.
Voices of Villagers: “The One Who Helps the Poor Is the True Human”
During the event, several villagers shared their feelings. Retired Air Force officer Dinesh Singh said:
“Everyone lives for themselves, but the one who wipes away the tears of others truly lives a meaningful life.”
Another villager said emotionally:
“The person who helps the poor is the real well-wisher. It feels like someone has finally understood our pain.”
Young villager Sagar Singh said:
“Our fields had not been cultivated for years. If the water is drained now, farming will start again on thousands of bighas of land. This is a huge relief for us.”
Service, Compassion and Social Contribution
Villagers say that the service activities initiated by Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj are not limited to one village or one state. In many parts of the country, relief efforts are being carried out to help farmers and needy people.
Under the Annapurna Muhim, poor families are receiving support such as:
- Food
- Clothing
- Medical assistance
- Education
- Housing
Villagers believe these efforts have strengthened the spirit of service and cooperation in society. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is an incarnation of Supreme God Kabir.
Transparency and Responsibility
Along with the assistance, an important condition was also presented.
The Gram Panchayat was given a formal letter stating that:
- The provided materials must be used to complete the water drainage work on time
- Crop sowing in the fields should be ensured
- The entire process would be documented through drone video recordings
Three videos would be made:
- The current situation
- After water drainage
- When crops begin growing in the fields
The purpose of this system was to ensure transparency and proper use of donated resources. The Gram Panchayat signed the letter and promised that the villagers would work together to complete the task.
Villagers Became Emotional and Welcomed with Flowers
When news spread that the service convoy of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj had arrived in Lathakuri village, the entire village gathered at the Panchayat site.
Elders, women, and youth assembled with deep devotion. When the revered form of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was placed at the event venue, villagers bowed their heads at His feet and respectfully touched His feet to receive blessings. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and gratitude. Villagers welcomed Him with garlands and many people showered flowers on His revered form in joy and emotion. Village elders said that after years of suffering, hope for solving their long-standing problem had finally appeared.
Members of the Panchayat and villagers together expressed gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, saying that this help would mark a new beginning for the village.
True Service, Compassion and Faith in God
The story of Lathakuri is not merely about pipes and motors. It is the story of faith that emerges during difficult times. For two years the fields were submerged, hopes were broken, and life was full of struggle. When society seemed silent, a helping hand appeared.
Today, the people of Lathakuri are hopeful that soon crops will once again grow in their fields, children’s education will progress, and village life will return to normal. This story reminds us that in difficult times, true service, compassion, and faith in God are the forces that can bring light even in the darkest moments. Perhaps that is why the people of Lathakuri today say with conviction:
“Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is not an ordinary saint—He is God.” They praise Him and consider themselves fortunate that God listened to them and chose to help them. According to the villagers, Saint Rampal Ji Maharaj is an extraordinary enlightened saint endowed with divine power, and such large-scale work is not possible for an ordinary person.
