Is going to Pilgrimages Really Beneficial?
As per holy Gita ji, visiting pilgrimage sites holds no spiritual significance at all. In search of everlasting peace and true inner fulfilment, spiritual seekers visit various pilgrimages. Holy Gita ji, chapter 17 verse 23 directs us to recite a single mantra – OM-TAT-SAT for attaining peace and happiness. TAT and SAT are indicative mantras. Only a Tatvdarshi Sant can exactly reveal this.
People often visit Khatu Shyam seeking the refuge of God without recognising the real identity of Khatu Shyam or Barbarika. Barbarika was not recognised in the folktales of Mahabharata. He was a great archer with ultimate powers to single handedly turn any war into his favour. Shri Krishna tricked him before the start of the actual Mahabharata and asked him for charity by donating his (Barbarika) head. This trick was played to make sure that he (barbarika) could not participate in the war at any stage with the Kauravas.
After the war of Mahabharata ended, Barbarika earned a blessing from Lord Krishna to be worshipped as Shyam during the period of Kaliyug. The devotees of Khatu Shyam should pause and think for a moment — Are they worshipping God or an archer with some supernatural powers? The Supreme God is unique. He does not come into destruction. Jagatguru Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has clarified the identity of Supreme God as Kabir Saheb Who is never born and He never died.
For more information about Barbarika and his role in the Mahabharata, visit and read this page to know more. Also, you can watch His (Sant Rampal Ji) spiritual sermons at ‘Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’ Youtube channel.
