For several years, Bhadani Gram Panchayat in Jhajjar district, Haryana, had been facing a severe waterlogging problem. Approximately 300 acres of farmland remained submerged under around 1.2 metres (4 feet) of standing water, causing continuous crop losses for farmers. With no effective solution emerging from either local authorities or administrative bodies, agricultural activities in these fields had come to a complete standstill for the past four to five years.

During last year’s flood crisis, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj extended assistance to the village under the first phase (Phase 1) of His relief campaign. To help prevent further flooding and facilitate water drainage, He arranged the delivery of the following materials:

  • 10,000 feet (approximately 3,048 metres) of 8-inch diameter pipeline
  • Three high-capacity 15 HP (horsepower) electric motors

As a result of this Phase 1 intervention, water was successfully drained from more than 150 acres of submerged farmland. After a gap of four years, greenery returned to the area, enabling successful wheat cultivation and crop production once again.

Fresh Request Under Phase 2, Rapid Technical Survey and Administrative Process

Although the first phase restored around 150 acres of land for cultivation, according to village Sarpanch Shakti Raj, nearly half of the affected area, approximately 150 acres, remained completely waterlogged.

To permanently remove water from the remaining land and restore its agricultural productivity, the Bhadani Gram Panchayat submitted a second formal request to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.

The initial application submitted by the Panchayat requested:

  • 30,000 feet (approximately 9,144 metres) of pipeline
  • Five electric motors

Immediately upon receiving the request, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directed a special volunteer survey team to visit Bhadani village. Within one to two hours, the team conducted a detailed on-site assessment of the affected area.

Based on scientific evaluation and actual field requirements, the survey team concluded that the village required 16,000 feet (approximately 4,877 metres) of pipeline rather than the originally requested 30,000 feet.

The survey identified the following requirements:

  • A total of 16,000 feet (approximately 4,877 metres) of 8-inch pipeline
  • Six drainage points across the affected area
  • Five new electric motors, as one motor from the previous assistance remained available in the village

The survey report was presented to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj the same evening, following which immediate approval was granted for dispatching the relief materials.

Arrival of Materials, Community Enthusiasm and Public Response

The new consignment of materials reached Bhadani village within just 24 hours of the application being submitted.

Sarpanch Shakti Raj explained that the request was submitted at around 12:00 noon, the survey was conducted the same evening, and by 5:00 a.m. the following morning, trucks and tractors loaded with pipeline materials had already arrived in the village.

The arrival of the materials created a celebratory atmosphere throughout Bhadani village. Residents organised the following arrangements to welcome the convoy and transport the materials to the event venue:

  • A large procession involving dozens of tractors and motorcycles
  • Villagers welcomed the vehicles with music and DJ performances
  • Residents and village representatives respectfully carried portraits of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj while leading the procession
  • A ceremonial inauguration was conducted upon arrival at the venue

Village elder Surjan Singh and farmer Ashok stated that they own approximately 5 acres of land that had remained unusable due to waterlogging for the past five years. They expressed hope that the assistance would restore their land to productivity.

Many villagers compared the speed of the assistance to “the speed of electricity”, remarking that neither government agencies nor even close relatives could typically provide help so quickly.

Nationwide Social Welfare and Reform Initiatives Led by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj

During the event, village leaders and speakers highlighted several public welfare initiatives being carried out by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for social reform and nation-building.

Key initiatives include:

Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan

Under this campaign, permanent drainage pipelines and pumping systems have reportedly been provided in more than 400 villages across India to address waterlogging and flood-related challenges.

Annapurna Muhim

This initiative provides healthcare support and food assistance for poor, vulnerable and financially disadvantaged families.

Anti-Drug Campaign

The campaign seeks to eliminate substance abuse among young people and promote a healthier society.

Dowry Eradication Initiative

To ensure the dignity and security of daughters and to eliminate excessive wedding expenses and harmful social practices, simple dowry-free marriages (Ramaini ceremonies) are organised.

Social Harmony and Brotherhood

Efforts are made to strengthen unity and cooperation among different communities, clans and social groups, including those residing within Bhadani village.

Speakers emphasised that the organisation does not participate in political activities and does not operate for political gain. According to them, its objective is to establish a humane social order resembling Satyug-like values within the present era of Kalyug.

Permanent Underground Pipeline Plan and Future Roadmap for Bhadani Village

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has outlined a clear development plan for Bhadani village.

Under these instructions, all residents are encouraged to work together, set aside differences and begin the immediate installation of the newly supplied 16,000-foot (4,877-metre) pipeline network underground.

Sarpanch Shakti Raj and village leaders have collectively decided to complete the underground installation within the next 10 to 15 days.

According to the directive issued by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, once villagers complete the underground installation and notify the Ashram, the five approved electric motors will also be delivered immediately.

Inspired by this assistance, residents of Bhadani village collectively expressed their intention to attend Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj’s main spiritual gathering with their families in the near future and receive Naam Diksha.
