For the past three months, Khokha village in Hisar district had been submerged under floodwater. More than 700 acres of crops had decayed, roads were broken, houses had been flooded, and everyday rural life had come to a standstill. Standing paddy crops were destroyed after being submerged for weeks, several homes were filled with water, and the crisis of health and sanitation deepened further.

For the villagers, the pain was not limited to economic loss; they were also distressed because officials and political leaders visited only to make promises and then left without delivering any real help. As one villager expressed with anguish, “Leaders would fold up their clothes after seeing the water and walk away, but no one came forward to provide real assistance.”

At such a time, when every door of hope seemed closed, the villagers, along with Vikas Hooda (Sarpanch Representative) and the senior elders of the village, signed a collective appeal and sent it with deep faith to the lotus feet of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Their prayer was taken seriously, and from that very moment, the process of change began.

Gram Panchayat Sends Appeal, Requests Motors and 12,000 Feet of Pipeline

A Gram Sabha meeting was convened in Khokha, where panchayat representatives, elders, and villagers collectively decided to seek assistance from the Ashram of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. In the written appeal, it was clearly mentioned that the village urgently needed two 15 HP motors and approximately 12,000 feet of pipeline to drain out the floodwater quickly. The letter, duly signed by the Panchayat, was formally sent to the Ashram, and the villagers began waiting in hope for approval.

The sevadars assured the villagers that as soon as permission was granted, the complete relief material would be delivered to the village without delay. They explained that at this place, assistance is not limited to verbal commitments, real and practical ground-level support is provided.

Relief Convoy Arrives Overnight, Motors and 12,000 Feet Pipeline Dedicated to the Village

Once the order for dispatching relief material was received, a large convoy departed late at night for Khokha village. The relief consignment included two heavy 15 HP motors, a 12,000-foot 8-inch pipeline, nuts and bolts, fixed valves, connectors, starters, and all essential technical equipment required for installation and operation. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj gave clear instructions to the sevadars that villagers should not be required to visit the market for anything. His directive was that every necessary item, “A to Z,” must be provided so that the water-drainage operation could begin immediately.

When the relief vehicles reached the entrance of the village, deeply emotional scenes were witnessed. Many villagers described the assistance as a “gift of life.” Women, elderly residents, and youth welcomed the relief team and called it a historic moment for the village.

Waterlogged Fields, Broken Roads and Shattered Livelihoods, Now the Situation Begins to Change

The devastation caused by the flood was clearly visible as one entered Khokha. Entire paddy fields lay flattened under water, roads were eroded, and people’s livelihoods had been severely affected. Farmers shared that due to crop destruction, even the labour force lost income, as the entire rural economic chain linked to agriculture had collapsed.

As soon as the relief material arrived, the work of laying pipelines and installing motors began immediately. During the Gram Sabha meeting at the village Chaupal, the Sarpanch and villagers expressed deep gratitude toward Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, saying, “Until today we received only assurances, but for the first time we have received real and practical assistance.”

The eyes of many farmers were filled with gratitude. When the relief material reached the village, all residents gathered together. The scene was not merely of relief distribution; it was a living expression of the deep love, unwavering faith, and heartfelt devotion that villagers hold toward Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, a moment they had awaited for years.

Villagers’ Sentiments: “This Is Not Just Assistance, It Is the Restoration of Faith”

Many villagers stated emotionally that if this help had not arrived on time, the village would have reached the brink of complete devastation. An elderly farmer said, “The administration only carried out formal visits, but Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj truly understood our pain and saved us.” People expressed that this support was not only about motors and pipelines, but an effort to revive life and livelihoods. Several villagers called it “an exceptional example of human sensitivity and social responsibility.” They said that His service is truly selfless, and He has no desire for any political position, because He is revered as God Himself, this belief is now being voiced by every villager.

Collective Responsibility and Discipline, Commitment to Secure the Future Along with Water Drainage

Along with the relief material, a written advisory letter was also handed over to the village. It clarified that the objective was not limited to resolving the present flooding situation, but also to ensure long-term protection. The villagers were advised to install the motors and pipeline permanently so that in future heavy rains, water could be drained immediately and crops could be saved. It was also stated that if, despite the availability of material, water was not drained on time and sowing could not be done, it would be considered negligence on the part of the villagers.

The letter further mentioned that the entire process would be documented through drone recordings, one video before water removal, another after drainage, and a third when the fields would once again flourish with crops  to demonstrate that every contribution and act of service was utilized for the right purpose. It was also highlighted that those who earn large sums through religious gatherings rarely come forward in times of crisis, whereas such support can significantly reduce the burden on the government if others also step up.

Continuous Public Service Under the “Annapurna Mission”, New Light in the Lives of Farmers and Laborers

The sevadars shared that this assistance was provided under the “Annapurna Mission,” through which relief and support initiatives have already been carried out in hundreds of villages across Haryana and other regions. The mission’s objective is not limited to temporary crisis management, but to restore and strengthen rural economic systems. Under this initiative, support continues for flood-affected regions, needy families, students, patients, and economically weaker households across multiple areas.

Garhi Village ko dia gya saman

This spirit of selfless service further strengthens people’s faith. Farmers said that if crops are saved, labourers’ employment will be saved, kitchens will continue to burn in homes, and the village will once again regain its economic rhythm. Villagers described this support as “the greatest help for farmers, labourers, and common people.” They emphasized that while others remained divided by caste and continued offering only assurances, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, even while staying inside a jail, heard the plea of the villagers and ensured timely help.

Hope Returns to Khokha, “Now the Next Crop Will Be Sown, and the Village Will Live Again”

With the start of the water-drainage process, relief and joy became visible on the faces of farmers. Many villagers said that this assistance was like a rebirth for them. One farmer expressed, “Now sowing will begin again, kitchens will light up in homes, and labourers will return to work.” Another villager described it as “the revival of the economic heartbeat of the village.” This incident is not merely a story of relief delivery, but a testimony that even when every door seems closed, compassion and service can still become the greatest strength of society.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj Becomes a Ray of Support in Times of Crisis

The incident of Khokha village is not only a narrative of flood relief, but a living account of faith, compassion, and social responsibility. When farmers and villagers were drowning in hopelessness and helplessness surrounded them from all sides, timely assistance not only brought relief to their lives but also restored their shattered morale. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj did not see whether those appealing to Him were His followers or not He immediately ensured help, demonstrating that every living being is a child of the same Supreme God, a principle He not only preaches but also practices in real life.

People do not address Him as God and the Supreme Being without reason. At a time when farmers had no options left, when helplessness was consuming their lives, and when the agricultural backbone of the nation was under crisis, this assistance was not merely material, it was hope, faith, and the light of a new beginning.
