According to the villagers, they had approached several authorities over the years seeking a permanent solution to the recurring waterlogging problem but could not obtain lasting relief. Facing continued hardship, representatives of Gram Panchayat Baaye visited Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj and requested assistance for a proper drainage system. They initially sought nearly 20,000 feet of pipeline and three motors for the village.
Village Faced Waterlogging for Decades
Baaye Village is situated in a low-lying area of Taranagar tehsil in Churu district. During the rainy season, water remains accumulated in the village and nearby areas for long periods because of poor drainage and a high water table.
Villagers stated that flooded roads created serious difficulties in daily movement. In several locations, water covered the roads to such an extent that identifying the routes became difficult. Many homes were affected, while residents said cooking also became challenging during periods of heavy waterlogging. According to local representatives, around 300 to 400 houses experienced flooding during the monsoon.
Former Sarpanch Bahadur Singh said the village had been facing the issue for years and identified Tada Mohalla, Chandni Chowk, the Senior School area and another eastern point among the major locations affected by water accumulation.
Survey Conducted on the Directions of Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj
After receiving the request, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj directed that a detailed survey be conducted.
The survey team inspected waterlogged locations, drainage routes and technical requirements across the village. During the survey, the team observed that Baaye Village has nearly 1,800 to 2,000 houses and that flood-like conditions develop during the rainy season because rainwater cannot seep into the ground.
Following the inspection, the survey determined that a permanent drainage system would require:

After the survey report was submitted, Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj approved the assistance under Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2.

Village Welcomes Relief Convoy
When the assistance reached Baaye Village, residents organised a large welcome for the convoy carrying the material.
Villagers welcomed the team with flower garlands, traditional musical instruments, drums and a procession. According to those present, people from different communities, including Hindu and Muslim residents, participated together in the welcome programme.
Large numbers of villagers gathered to receive the relief material, and Gram Panchayat representatives said the atmosphere reflected the village’s relief after years of struggling with waterlogging.
Gram Panchayat Representatives Share Their Views
Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Iqbal Khan said the village had requested help from Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj because floodwater entered homes every rainy season, making movement extremely difficult.
He stated that the village representatives visited Him, submitted their request and received assurance that a survey would be conducted. According to him, the survey team visited shortly afterwards and the material reached the village within days.
Iqbal Khan also said that during his visit, he observed no distinction based on religion and described the message he experienced there as one of “humanity”. Referring to the slogan, “Jeev Hamari Jaati, Manav Dharm Hamara,” he said the villagers experienced an atmosphere centred on human values rather than religious identity.
Former Sarpanch Bahadur Singh said the village had tried to resolve the issue through different means over many years but had not achieved a permanent solution. He stated that the approval of the survey and the supply of the required material would help address long-standing drainage problems affecting homes and roads.
Villagers Describe Their Experience
Several villagers said the assistance addressed a problem they had faced for decades.
Residents recalled that during earlier years of severe flooding, rainwater surrounded homes from all sides, making daily life extremely difficult. Some said cooking became impossible for several days because of waterlogging.
Many villagers stated that after approaching Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, the survey, approval and assistance process was completed much faster than they had expected.
Some Muslim residents said they considered the experience to be based on humanity rather than religious identity. They stated that they found no distinction between Hindu, Muslim, Sikh or Christian during their visit and described the atmosphere as one that treated everyone equally.
Several villagers also appreciated the social welfare activities associated with Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, mentioning assistance for housing, education, food support and help for underprivileged families, while expressing hope that similar welfare programmes would continue.
According to the villagers, the new drainage infrastructure is expected to strengthen water disposal arrangements and provide lasting relief from recurring monsoon waterlogging.
Baaye Village Looks Ahead to Improved Drainage
Gram Panchayat representatives said the approved pipeline network and pumping system from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj are expected to improve water drainage across the village and reduce disruption caused by seasonal flooding. Villagers expressed hope that the long-pending issue would now move towards a permanent solution through the newly established drainage infrastructure under Kisan Mazdoor Bachao Abhiyan Phase 2.
