In a powerful demonstration of compassion and decisive action, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has intervened to rescue the flood-ravaged village of Daata in Haryana. Faced with complete governmental inaction and the devastating loss of their crops and livelihoods, the desperate villagers turned to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. His response was immediate and comprehensive, delivering a permanent solution to a problem that had plagued them for years, thereby restoring hope to a community on the brink of collapse.
A Village Drowning in Despair
Daata village, located in the Hansi tehsil of Hisar district, was facing an unprecedented crisis. Catastrophic flooding had submerged approximately 3,000 to 4,000 acres of agricultural land under three to ten feet of water. For a community almost entirely dependent on farming, this was a death blow. The primary crops of millet and paddy were completely destroyed, and with the fields still inundated, the prospect of sowing the next wheat crop seemed impossible.
The situation was not new; some areas had been waterlogged since 2020. However, the current scale of the disaster was overwhelming. Villagers watched helplessly as their homes were damaged and their futures dissolved in the stagnant water. “There is no chance of saving any crop now. Our only plan is to somehow save the residential areas,” a resident lamented. Another added, “Even if the water recedes, the land will be ruined for at least two years. What will we do?”

Despite their dire situation, the villagers found themselves utterly abandoned. For five days, they had tried to divert the water using their own limited resources, but their efforts were futile against the sheer volume of the flood. Appeals to local administration and elected officials resulted in nothing more than photo opportunities and empty promises. “Politicians come, take pictures of our suffering, and leave. What do they actually do for us?” a villager asked. The consensus was clear: the government and local authorities had failed them.
A Plea for Divine Intervention
When all official doors had closed, the villagers heard about the massive flood relief campaign Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj was conducting in the neighboring village of Gurana. This news ignited a flicker of hope. The entire village Panchayat, led by Sarpanch representative Mr. Naresh Ji (acting on behalf of his ailing father, Sarpanch Ram Kumar Sharma), decided to seek help from Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.
They travelled to Barwala and submitted a plea. Their appeal was specific and born of desperation: they needed the tools to save their village. The request detailed a need for five high-powered motors, three of 15 horsepower (HP) and two of 10 HP along with 25,000 feet of 8-inch drainage pipe to pump the water out of their fields. Mr. Naresh Ji explained, “We heard that Guru Ji is helping everyone. We believe he will listen to our plea and our village will be saved.”
A Miraculous and Swift Response
The villagers were not prepared for the speed and scale of the response. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj immediately approved their request. In less than 24 hours, a stark contrast to the months of bureaucratic silence they had endured, a convoy of dozens of vehicles loaded with relief supplies arrived in Daata village.

Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj had not only provided exactly what was asked for but had anticipated every possible need to ensure the villagers faced no further obstacles. The massive aid package included:
- Three 15 HP motors and two 10 HP motors.
- 25,000 feet of high-quality 8-inch pipe.
- A complete set of accessories for each motor, including starters, cables, foot valves, clamps, nut-bolts, and assembly units.
- Adhesives like Fevicol and PVC solution to ensure secure connections.
He had sent a turnkey solution, providing every single component required to make the drainage system operational immediately. The message was clear: there should be no delay in relieving the suffering of the people.
The Voices of a Grateful Community
The arrival of the aid convoy brought an overwhelming sense of relief and joy to the villagers. Their faces, etched with worry for weeks, were now filled with gratitude and belief.
One of the most astonishing revelations came from a villager who described their interactions with government officials. “We went to everyone, the SDO, the JE, the MLA, even ministers. They all told us the same thing: ‘You will have to go to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj for help’,” he shared. “The very government we sought help from was pointing us to Him. Today, that help has arrived.”
The villagers were particularly moved by the nature of the aid. A resident explained, “For years, since 2021, the government would install motors when it flooded. But as soon as the water receded, they would take the motors and disconnect the power. We had to go through the whole frustrating process again and again. But Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has given us this equipment for a lifetime. He told us to install it permanently so that future generations can also benefit. This is a permanent solution, not just a temporary fix.”

This profound act of service transformed perceptions. One man courageously admitted, “During the Barwala incident, I was young. Many people, and I might have been among them, were saying negative things about Sant Rampal Ji. Today, the very people who were cursing Him are singing His praises. Why? Because when the farmer was in trouble, He was the only one who stood with us.”
The sentiment was echoed by many who now saw Him as a divine savior. The Sarpanch representative, Mr. Naresh Ji, stated emotionally, “Our elders used to say that God can appear in any form. Today, I feel that God has come to our village in the form of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. What He is doing is the work of God.”
A Message of Responsibility and Vision
Along with the supplies, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj sent a formal letter to be read aloud to the entire village. The letter was not just a message of support but a call to action, outlining a partnership for the village’s revival. He expressed His deep concern, stating, “I am a farmer’s son and I understand the pain of the farmer.”
The letter laid out a clear expectation: the villagers must work together with unity and brotherhood to drain the water as quickly as possible so the next crop could be sown. He made it clear that the aid was a gift, and if more was needed, they only had to ask. “It does not matter how much material it takes, but the water must be drained from the village,” the letter stated.
However, it also came with a condition for future assistance: “If the water is not drained in the stipulated time and the crop is not sown, our trust will not be able to provide any help to your village in the future.” This was a motivational push to ensure the community took collective ownership of their recovery.
A True Model of Selfless Service
The aid extended to Daata Village is not an isolated incident. It is part of the “Annapurna Muhim,” a substantial and continuous flood relief initiative organized by Sant Rampalji Maharaj. This Muhim, which began as an effort to provide food and shelter, has now evolved into a comprehensive humanitarian aid operation, which has reached over a 100 villages . To ensure this humanitarian mission could proceed without financial constraint, He issued a strict order to halt all construction work at His 12 ashrams and over 500 naamdaan centers, diverting all funds and manpower to save the flood-affected villages.
