A Village Drowning in Despair
Daata village, located in the Hansi tehsil of Hisar district, was facing an unprecedented crisis. Catastrophic flooding had submerged approximately 3,000 to 4,000 acres of agricultural land under three to ten feet of water. For a community almost entirely dependent on farming, this was a death blow.
