Singhwa Ragho village in Hisar district of Haryana has today become a powerful example of humanity and selfless service, rekindling hope amid the failure of modern administrative systems and government claims. The destructive floodwater that had stood in the fields for several months has now receded, and land that once symbolised mud and despair is today covered with tender green wheat shoots.

This extraordinary transformation is the result of the tireless efforts of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj through Annapurna Muhim, which not only freed the fields from water but also rescued farmers from hunger and the trap of debt.

Flood Devastation and Failure of the Government System

Due to the geographical location of Singhwa Ragho village and heavy monsoon rains, approximately 1,200 to 1,500 acres of fertile land were submerged under 5 to 6 feet of water. The Kharif crop was completely destroyed, and the window for Rabi sowing was rapidly closing. Villagers repeatedly appealed to the administration and government, organised protests, and made countless visits to government offices, but received nothing more than hollow assurances.

It is noteworthy that the government had installed a large pipeline project costing 9 crore rupees (90 million), yet it failed entirely during the crisis. Corruption and technical shortcomings rendered the system incapable of draining water, leaving farmers demoralised and helpless.

Beginning of Annapurna Muhim and Arrival of Relief Materials

When darkness surrounded the village and farmers saw no option other than suicide or migration, the panchayat of Singhwa Ragho and sarpanch representative Naresh Kumar submitted an appeal for help to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. As soon as the request was accepted, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj ordered relief operations to begin at a war footing under Annapurna Muhim.

Within two days, a large convoy of assistance reached the village. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj provided five large electric motors, including three of 20 HP and two of 15 HP capacity. Along with these, approximately 23,000 feet (about 7,010 metres) of high quality pipes and essential technical equipment such as starters, cables, adhesive, and nuts and bolts were supplied.

Most importantly, Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj did not take even a single penny as donation or contribution from anyone in the village for this massive service effort.

Rejuvenation of Fields and Success of Sowing

The motors sent by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj worked continuously day and night to remove the floodwater from the fields. With the cooperation of villagers and volunteers, the pipelines were strategically laid to ensure rapid drainage.

At present, more than 90 percent of the 1,200 acres of submerged land has completely dried. Water has been removed from approximately 800 to 900 acres, out of which wheat sowing has been successfully completed on more than 600 acres. Farmers stated that land which once had 4 feet of standing water is now producing crops after ploughing. To mitigate future flood risks, the pipelines have been permanently buried underground so that such a situation does not arise again next year.

Farmers’ Experiences and Gratitude

Farmers Sunil Kumar and Chhatrapal Singh shared emotionally that they were watching their livelihoods vanish before their eyes. Chhatrapal, who had taken 20 acres on lease, was crushed under debt and had reached the brink of taking an extreme step. He acknowledged that Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has given him a new life.

Another farmer, Balraj Singh, whose paddy crop was rotting in floodwater, also managed to save his remaining produce. Villagers said that the administration abandoned them midway, but the foresight and selfless service of a Saint relit the stoves in their homes. Elders such as Tau Subhash believe that the work done by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj is nothing less than a divine miracle.

Social and Economic Impact

The impact of this mission has not been limited to agriculture alone; it has brought wide ranging social and economic benefits. Floodwater had also blocked routes to schools, disrupting children’s education. After drainage, normal life has resumed.

From an economic perspective, sowing across 600 acres will generate produce worth millions of rupees in the coming season, restoring the village economy. Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj has proven that social service does not require resources alone, but firm determination and love for humanity.

A Global Message of Selfless Service

This initiative of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj offers a powerful lesson for modern society. At a time when even the smallest act of service is driven by the desire for recognition or money, providing machinery and technical assistance worth crores without any self interest is remarkable. Similar assistance has also been extended to the neighbouring village of Chainat.

Dozens of villages across Hisar have collectively expressed gratitude to Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. Villagers firmly state that the work which the government and administration could not accomplish despite spending crores was achieved by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj through Annapurna Muhim in just a few weeks.

Towards a New Dawn

Today, the air of Singhwa Ragho is filled with hope. The smiles that have returned to the faces of farmers are entirely credited to the social commitment of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj. This success is not merely a victory over floodwater, but a triumph of unwavering faith that a devotee places in His Guru and in humanity.

Singhwa Ragho will now be remembered as a living example of how selfless leadership during a disaster can transform the destiny of an entire community.
