Where until a few months ago there was only stagnant water and the sobs of farmers, today there is the roar of tractors and flourishing wheat crops. This story of Bans Khurd Bijan village in the Bass tehsil of Haryana’s Hisar district is nothing short of a miracle. This overnight change is not the result of any government scheme, but of the selfless ‘Annapurna Muhim’ of Tatvdarshi Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj.

Empty Promises of the Administration and the Breaking Morale of the Farmers
Village Sarpanch Balwan Singh and former Station House Officer Ramchandra Ji shudder remembering those dark days. About 400 acres of fertile land in the village was submerged in 3 to 4 feet of water. The difference between fields and roads had vanished. The previous Kharif crops of cotton, paddy, and millet had completely rotted. The farmers were burdened with double debt, and their shoes had worn out making rounds of the administration’s offices. Politicians would come, give empty assurances, and leave. The farmers began to feel that the time for the next sowing would also pass and the entire village would fall prey to starvation.
Justice Delivered Through Discipline, Not Recommendation
When all faith in the government system was lost, the village panchayat reached Barwala Ashram with a final hope. The villagers were stunned to see the scene there. Seeing this wonderful discipline and equality in the court of a Saint, the hearts of the villagers melted.
Arrangements from ‘Needle to Thread’

Within just a week of submitting the application, a massive convoy of relief materials stood at the village entrance. The volunteers of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj piled up resources to pump out the water. This material included:
- 3300 feet long 8-inch strong pipe.
- A massive 10 Horsepower (HP) motor to pump out the water.
- A starter, long cables, and flexible pipes (sundiya) to run the motor.
- Everything from Fevicol to every small and big nut-bolt for joining the pipes.
Overwhelmed with emotion, the villagers named it a “service from needle to thread,” for which not a single penny was taken from the panchayat or the farmers.
A World Restored After Escaping the Jaws of Death
Working day and night, these powerful machines provided by Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj threw that stubborn water out of the village boundaries. The land that was on the verge of becoming barren, today wheat and fodder (berseem) have been sown in 100 percent of those fields. The crops in the fields have brought smiles back to the faces of the farmers.
The Greatest Temple of Humanity
Today, every elder and youth of Bans Khurd Bijan considers Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj as their creator of destiny. The villagers say that where the governments remained tangled in files for months, a Saint held their hand like a father and saved the honor of the village.
The elders mentioned that Sant Ji is not only draining water from the fields but is also providing food, clothes, and shelter to the needy in society. Along with this, He is bringing about a massive social revolution by conducting dowry-free marriages across all 36 communities. Today, every house in this village bows down to that ‘life-saving herb’ like help, which made their ruining lives green and prosperous again.
