Khan was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Bandra. Dr. Nitin Dange, a neurosurgeon at the hospital, stated that Khan had sustained a major injury to his thoracic spine. He is expected to be shifted out of the Intensive Care Unit by Friday.

The Bandra police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) invoking non-bailable charges against the unidentified assailant. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, Dixit Gedam, mentioned that the charges include robbery with an attempt to cause death or grievous hurt, house trespass, and housebreaking after sunset.
