- on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti 2024, and his second visit to Jharkhand in 17 days, honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched projects worth INR 83,000 crore in Jharkhand.
- PM Modi in his speech from Hazaribagh Jharkhand, highlighted the benefits of the scheme of PM Awas Yojana, and detailed about the schemes worth more than eighty thousand crores for tribal communities.
- Along with the inauguration of 40 Eklavya Residential Model Schools (EMRS), PM Modi laid the foundation stone for 25 EMRS Schools worth INR 2,800 crore.
- Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan Scheme, worth over INR 79,150 crores, was also launched by PM Modi during the event.
- As per the official Press Release, the launch of this Abhiyan will cover 63,000 villages, 5 crore tribal people in 549 districts, 2740 blocks spread over 30 states and Union Territories (UTs).
- PM Modi also launched multiple projects under Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) worth over 1360 crores.
- Development of 1380 km of road, 120 Anganwadis, 250 multi-purpose centres and 10 school hostels are planned under the scheme.
- Landmark achievements under PM-JANMAN scheme were highlighted by PM Modi, which are briefed as follows:
- Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG) household’s electrification (more than 75,800 households) in 3,000 villages.
- Mobile Medical Units operationalised (275 units)
- Anganwadi Centres operationalised (500 centres)
- Van Dhan Vikas Kendra Establishment (250 Kendra)
- Providing water facilities to more than 5550 PVTG villages with ‘Nal se Jal’.
