For the Air Force, the Delhi High Court’s March 12, 2010 judgment was subsequently implemented. The court held that eligible Short Service Commission women officers of the Air Force who had opted for Permanent Commission and had not been granted it were entitled to Permanent Commission at par with male Short Service Commission officers, with consequential benefits. The Supreme Court later upheld the relevant Delhi High Court judgment in 2020.
